Clue #1:  The team lacks a coach.  Chris Scott would fit the bill, as would his brother Brad.

Second place has been claimed by @tilly18, who takes home this literary accessory.

He should be very pleased, chuffed, delighted, happy, glad, elated and satisfied.

Last place on the podium has been snaffled by @Tim who also wins a book for his efforts.

Unfortunately, the prize for third is a significant drop in quality.

Clue #2:  Although there is a local connection, the answer is not related to footy or any other sport.

Clue #3:  The "Bailey" reference was a red herring and has no relevance to the solution.  (Sorry,not sorry.  )

Both @Jumping Jack Clennett and @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew are very close to the answer but neither has quite nailed it just yet.

Clue #4:  The answer consists of two elements.

I'm not sure what other clues I can provide that might strike a chord with Demonlanders.

The teaser can carry over to Tuesday given the shortage of solvers.  I thought it was an easy one, too!
