Everything I hear is that Lever by his own admission didn't come back fit enough post 2021

Where'd you hear that mate?

True, they managed to pick up another 5,000 today too. I'm sure the players will be cautious.

There needs to be a COVID ladder to see which club has missed the most players through H&SP

actually, roy wa today got over 17,000 cases, the highest in the country by some margin

i'm sure the club must be aware and will take precautions......i certainly hope so

Thankfully our players' parents didn't 20-30 years ago.

That will make them even more keen to get him.

I'm sure they'd like Clarry and Kozzi too but good luck with any of it

LJ seeing WC being unfit and ill disciplined should do wonders for us signing him on quickly

Sorry ambiguous post, meant additional 5,000 on top of yesterdays number of 12,000 just phrased poorly.

At least the game next week isn't against a challenger if something does happen

We can't just go into the next 2 weeks thinking these are walk in the park games. Eagles and North are done for the year and have nothing to lose so they won't have an issue taking risks. Rest anyone who is injured but if a rest isn't necessary then leave it be. If We play hard and decimate in seemingly simpler games then get the 8 points and get a percentage boost as a buffer. Many say that the next best teams after us are a long way from us but really they aren't that far. Freo and Brisbane have only dropped 1 game and from recent matches have a handy percentage boost. We drop a game as it stands and we drop to 3rd - we can't be complacent. We play each game hard and don't back down

In Goodwin's press conf this morning it sounded like no changes.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
