Brad Green is a talented player, I have no doubt about this, but has Daniher tried to make him something that he's not?

Successful clubs use their players in such a way that gets the most out of them, but I think that we as a club play dumb football, and Green is a good example. As a forward he is quick and bloody hard to match up on, he's also a great kick meaning if he gets pushed out wide he's still very dangerous, but for some reason Daniher has decided to try and make him a midfielder. I've lost count the amount of time I've seen him running across the backline thinking to myself what a waste of talent having him so far away from goal. Would a Roos or Matthews try and do the same thing with one of their players?

I think he lacks the real hard edge to be a good midfielder, leave him close to goal so he can really hurt the opposition with his disposal.

Its an interesting discussion, because we all know how well he can play when he goes forward. In the midfield, his skills are an asset I think, and contrary to popular opinion he does go in hard for the ball. I think where he plays should be based on the personnel in the team at the time. He should play forward in situations like we have at the moment, as we need a good leading forward in the absence of Neitz and Robbo. However, I like him in the midfield, especially off a wing as he can make precise passes into the forward line ... more so than someone like Godfrey, Bate or Ward.

He should play up forward more. No good in defense, as in- he's wasted if he plays there. And the occassional on the Ball role, perhaps he should be in a role swapping with Davey into the forward line.

Its something that i have believed and reported on here for over 2 years, ever since he moved midfield. Unlike Moloney, McDonnald, Bruce and McLean when he gets the ball he looks unsure of what to do with it. I have always HATED him midfield. Yes hes tough but he can be tough forward. He has always been good at goal (although i suspect now that he isnt as he has less kicking practice at training - more midfield stuff) but he has shown he still has the goods forward. I have never been happy with him midfield and never will be. ND is an idiot for making green something he isnt and personally i dispise him for making my once fav player now my not

Don't forget Brad Green always wanted to play midfield. That was probably his goal and maybe ND is just showing faith in him?

Despite that I'd expect to see him at full-forward this week.
