AFL REPORT: AFL CONSIDERING SECOND 2020 TRADE WINDOW

This is due to the issues caused to clubs through the unknowns of list sizes impacting some players getting through to clubs during the window just past.

Could Tmac, ANB or AvB still be traded in 2020?

Sequels are very rarely any good.

If they are to go ahead with this then they should allow clubs to continue to communicate and negotiate. Only turn up on the day with you have deals actually ready to happen. Could be a chance for TMac if both he and the club have someone in mind.

I still can’t believe the AFL (with all that time to discuss it) couldn’t come up with a decision on list sizes BEFORE the trade period.

Gill says no..."that's just what they'll be expecting us to do!"

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
