Nice to remember Jakovich in particular that game against North when he kicked 11 goals and about 10 points and was just running around getting the ball for himself, he was a freak!

schwartz before he got injured, the nine goals against the Swans, he was going to be a superstar!

Farmer kicking 8 against Fremantle at Etihad!

But it’s gotta be about 2019:

Melksham Weideman Petracca

ANB TMac Spargo or Farmer if he comes good

Gawn & Preuss dropping into forward line

Oliver swapping with Petracca

Adding May, Preuss and KK just brings another dimension to the team. If Hunt can get it together and J Smith take the next step it’s going to be hard picking a best 22! Roll on round one, can’t wait!!!!!

Gawn Brayshaw Viney

Harmes Oliver KK

all in the middle feeding the forward line, sounds good!

Ppl and media still caught up in 'fwd line' rubbish.

It's about a team...a delivery system...game style. Not about 6 blokes who may or may not fire etc.Ā

Happy to have best TEAM...others can have best bits n pieces ;)

It always was,Ā  mr beel'.

But Mfc doesn't seem to get that,Ā  along the journey of the decades.Ā  I think we are getting it at the moment... thank godAFL

HF: Lyon Schwartz Davey

F Farmer Fanning JakovichĀ

IC: Neitz

Premise is based on their best efforts.

Love Jurrah but Davey invented/took Fwd 50 pressure to a new level.

And I love Neitz but Fanning as a big game performer would be the starter.

87ish to now, but excluding robbie:

b: jetta - wight - ingerson
hb: s febey - neitz - b lovett
? tingay - g lovett - davey
hf: lyon - schwarz - jurrah
f: stynes -Ā jakovich - farmer
foll: gawn - oliver - t viney
i/c: jones - j viney - yze - green
emerg: prymke - woewodin - vince - whelan

but that's just a random run thru without 'thinking' about it...

Surely Tommy Mac (as a forward)Ā better than Prymke , and Bernie.

Farmer?

I wasn’t aware that we had a Farmer on our 2019 list however I like the way you think!

(MaybeĀ we have to make do with Garlett? )

He was threatening someone to a trip to his Wolf Creek dungeon at the manor in another thread.

I shudder to think that I may be responsible for the potentialĀ further degradation of a fellow human beingĀ by my inartful comments.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andĀ  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
