    Never stopped CEOs or any newly appointed bosses, getting rid of people because they represent the past and the new incumbent wants a clean sweep and opportunity to appoint his or her own people.

    Always been the case, but pretty common these days. 

    Pert will want to establish his own empire and not inherit Jackson's empire.
