HOW THE HELL WAS THAT PLAY ON WAGNER NEVER MOVED OVER HIS MARK ARE YOU KIDDING ME

Box Hill respond after some terrible work from Casey. Started with Bugg chipping a kick on our forward 50 for no apparent reason and then Wagner making a bad cross. Just terrible work.

3rd quarter huddle should be audible from Perth.  Fumbly, beaten inside and outside, running second.  Not what we are used to seeing.  Bugg turnovers costly.  Only a few players offering anything redeeming.  No one pushing for a seniors spot in round 23.

A lot of outs hurts but this is Casey’s worse performance of the season.

Has Garlett done anything?

If as described Garlett is not prepared to run and tackle after he has been dropped for the same lack of desire, he is giving his teammates and club the finger and needs to find a new home

Poor performance.   The streak couldn't last forever though.

Garlett has lost the passion, wouldn't be surprised if he retired at seasons end.

Three quarter time Casey 5.8.38 trail Box Hill 11.9.75

Goals Lockhart 2 Hutchins Lok  White

Disposals Bugg 22 Gent 21 Munro C Wagner J Wagner 18

Maybe this means we have selected all the goers for tomorrow!

24 players in Perth. No Hogan, Viney, Stretch, Maynard, Vince, Balic, Hunt, Baker, Joel Smith. It's hardly surprising that we are struggling against good oppostion.

Bit warmer where I'm watching from.

Imagine if the game was at Casey. The Box Hill area is not that windy except the ground is exposed on the Middleborough road side.

I am starting to favour 16 a side at VFL level for a year or so. May open it up and improve the talent base. The games have become very scrappy in recent years.

Jeffy almost unseen so far.

jeffy's 2018 is a big disappointment.   no heart, no team play.

Behaving like a very selfish indulgent player.  Not what we want on the list.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
