Kids Memberships

Apologies to everyone if this has been posted elsewhere - I did a cursory search and couldn't find anything.

My wife and I are both Redlegs members. It's been a great way to attend the footy and while we've had a baby and now a toddler a really comfortable way to do so too. As the young bloke's had his 2nd birthday now we're wondering if he'll need a Redlegs membership to sit in the area too?

It looks like GA packages are available for kids aged 2-6 and junior Redlegs packages are next bracket up for under 15s. I can't find ticketing info on the AFL site.

I'mat a bit of a loss and I know this sounds cheap but right now my 2 year old doesn't pay a lot of attention to the game so buying a $220 membership over a $60 one seems pretty steep.

Does anyone have any info on this? I assume I'll need to contact the club for the official word but any assistance is really appreciated.

Kids 3 and under use to be able to enter for free as long as they didn’t occupy a seat. Although I identify as a 3 year old, security still didn’t let me in.

This doesn’t help you at all Egg, apologies.

Just bring them in to the area.  The staff at the gate won't question you about kids, especially if they are in your arms.  If they do then tell them you are heading to the social club area to get a guest pass....

Thanks guys. I figure it is easy to just bring him in but I want to be sure. For the past 15 years seats haven't really been an issue but I'm thinking (and hoping) that they'll be a bit more in demand from this year on. We'll see how we go.

Even better, I reckon I could pass as a 6 year old.

We reckon you could, too

I really shouldn’t have posted anything on this thread.

I’m off to the park to play on the swings.

You might want to have a shave and take those glasses off Ethan before you go to the park to play on the swings. Looks a bit creepy otherwise.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
