Why would he come cheap now? ย He'd get a FA contract that would net WC a first round compensation pick next year so we'd have to pay more that that this year to make it worth their while, i.e. pick 10 minimum.

Wouldn't hesitate to have the 2015 version of Gaff. The 2017 version seemed very ordinary, almost disinterested. Better ways to spend a first round pick.ย

Maybe he was playing like his mind was elsewhere?

I'd be very happy if he found a way to us, but he would be much better value as a free agent next year.
