I actually thought Battle of the Bastards (2nd last episode) was the finale and was pleasantly surprised on Monday at work to find out there was still one to go.

Did anyone notice that Varys seemed to travel between places very quickly?

All of them, sometimes it is quite ridiculous, like little fingers Army just happen to be in the area.

Little Finger's army was organised secretly by Sansa, in the next episode she refers to how she should have told Jon they were coming and that they need to trust each other, or something.

not quite sure i would have been quite as forgiving ! there was a pile of bodies of Jon's army that you couldn't climb over and maybe Jon would have planned a little differently if he knew the Little Fingers army was just around the corner. A sorry and a kiss on the forehead wouldn't cut it for me.

Yeah i know she organised it but some nerd has done figures of how far landmarks are from each other and it says that it is 70miles from Eyrie to the bloody gate and a further 170 miles to the border of The Vale alone, going by that it would be 1000's of miles to Winterfell whether you believe him or not.

I mustn't have watched as closely as I thought, I thought the Hound died or was he just left for dead and survived?

I get so confused with this bloody show.

I think it's better watched in one hit, if you get the time. I watched yesterday's episode but plan on recording the rest and watching at once. The only issue is my little one is due around the time of the last episode, so I may never get to watch them.

Edited by Ethan Tremblay

I'm still yet to see a single episode of this show.

Thanks for the tip but I'm afraid the only help for me would be some sort of Venn diagram posted above the telly. Speaking of which congrats on the little "on" .

You will watch even more now but it will be shows like telly tubbies. Enjoy.

Left for dead  - nekk minut - he pops up in a religious cult chopping wood and then found by Beric Dondarrion. Glad he is still in the series  - my second favourite for the amusing quip behind Tyrion.

He was wounded, left for dead. But it's the Hound. Of course a wound won't kill him. Great character.

I like this new Greyjoy [censored].

I swear I see more people saying they haven't seen this show than people that watch it talk about it. I just posted on a mates post who said he hasn't seen one episode. Why is that worthy of making an announcement? You might love it.

Had a bone sticking out of his leg didn't he? My favourite character in the show. I've always hoped he and the Mountain would have some huge face-off at some stage, but his vision now has me worried he'll end up meeting his demise at the hands of the White Walkers.

Clegane Quote of the Week:

To Dondarrian:  There's no divine justice, you dumb [censored]. If there was, you'd be dead and that girl would be alive.

He has to battle the zombie hulk Mountain. I've been hoping for that battle the whole time too.

Ed Sheeran's cameo was absolutely cringeworthy and unnecessary.

I was hoping Arya would wear his face and quit the music industry.

go sit in the naughty corner and think about what you said. Have you lost your mind.

I am not an avid  TV watcher but there are two shows I don't miss - GOT and Last week tonight.

For anyone like me who has a tough time remembering the previous seasons and all that happens there is a chap on youtube who goes deep into explaining each episode and how it relates to what happens in the books. His channel is full of cool GoT stuff, here's his episode 1 recap of season 7 :

Not to say we are strict in our household but Mrs Bean does have a habit of asking questions in the middle of episodes.

We have now made a rule - we give her a pen and paper and we address all written questions after the episode. Harsh but fair.

Such a long wait and a huge anticlimax.

I already miss Margaery and her beautiful big...eyes.

Completely forgot everything that happen in the last few episodes of S6.

Glad it is back but I hope it actually goes somewhere quickly this season.

Gotta say I was a little underwhelmed with the first episode.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
