I thought that there may be a couple more changes But we have to trust our Coaching Group, Roosy has made a point of saying that they are managing the work loads of all players and the young ones in particular. I am enjoying going to the Footy again, let's hope we turn up to play and stay with it for the four quarters. - Go Dee's

PS( I thought that we hobbled Trenner's and Grimes with the Captaincy in their formative years when they should have been developing their skills and stamina, always thought that Brad Green had two years left in him)

Last week i was confident, and predicted an 8 goal win... this week i expect a loss for some reason.... Port by 27 points.

Years of mistrust are hard to ignore i guess.

Go dees.

Becoming vegetarian has nothing to do with it. The science and knowledge has moved way beyond this myth.  You do not have to eat meat to be strong or have energy or whatever else you think eating meat gives you. Eating a balanced vegetarian diet ( not vegan) is far healthier and better for digestive purposes and cardiovascular health.  All risk factors decrease, and it is good for the environment , not to mention the cruelty of killing living creatures. A balanced vegetarian diet does not decrease energy levels.

Aah there is the crux...Not vegan

see i consider a true vegetarian to be a vegan...

I'm not overly sentimental when it comes to (most) footballers, but I have tremendous respect and empathy for Jack Grimes.  He's stagnant on 98 games and deserves to play 100 for the MFC.  Some will look at it from a F/S point of view, but that's a distant consideration.

He's not best 22, but the club needs to make sure he reaches this milestone.  He's not so far behind a Bugg, or a couple of others, that it would compromise our winning chances.

It would be terribly disappointing if he left this club without his name on the locker.  He deserves it.

Hear, hear.

I don't necessarily disagree with this but my first thought is its wrong. If it were the case wouldn't the club dieticians etc have everyone on a vegetarian diet? Do you know of any other professional athletes where strength/power is a key attribute that don't eat meat?

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
