Finally Demonland Swag!

This is just a test. I have created a very limited amount of stock of Demonland T-Shirts and Polo shirts with the Demonland Logo on it. I have no idea whether these will be sought after items or not but I thought I would give it a shot. Obviously the Merchandise is priced in a way that it is also a donation to support the site with the added benefit of getting something you can wear.

If you are a Lifetime Subscription member you get $5 off the price.

The T-Shirts are $35:

The Polos are $45:

Stickers are coming soon.

So if you want to support this site and get something back in return then these items are for you.

Remember stock is very very limited and if there is interest I will have more made up. If the item and size you want has sold out then post here so that I know there is interest and I will order more in.

Let me know what you think.

Excellent. They look great and I've ordered a tshirt.

Everybody get on board!

i look forward to people recognising me at games so that I can deliver witty comments in person and imitate GIFs as required.

I hadn't thought of stubby holders. I'll keep that in mind.

I use to run a gaming tournament with a group years ago and we did them and they were great.

How quick is the mail out?

i am going overseas in about 2 weeks. Australiia Post are a lot slower now

If you buy today I'll mail it out via Australia Post tomorrow morning. You should have it early next week.

Ok sweet. I will take a chance!

I wonder if Roos and PJ would give permission for us to use their emoticons on merch?

The label says that they are but I don't have anything above XXL unfortunately.

Serious question

is the Large a small Large or a big Large?

i hate T Shirts that are Tight

but when they are too big it's like Flanders Night Shirt!!!

which one...?

Just now, Demonland said:

I like loose fitting too. I'd go with the XL if you are not sure. I haven't tried one on.

Do you think you (or someone willing to model) could try one on so we get a good idea on sizes?

I have been burnt by online purchases not fitting before :(

I'll try one on tonight. However my idea of something that fits well on my frame will be different to yours and so on. Also some brands fit me better in XL and some in L. Online buyers beware. I know the drill too well.

Just trying one on.

Could you post a photo?

Neck down would be ok if you don't want us to see your mug, but just so we can see.

I've ordered larges online that fit like tents before.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?

After kicking the first goal of the match the Demons were always playing catch up against the Saints in Alice Spring and could never make the most of their inside 50 entries to wrestle back the lead.
