I am not sure if anyone as posted this observation from the ST Kilda game.

After 1/4 time the MFC had 2 less on the bench and for the 4th quarter ST Kilda had twice the number of interchanges and our boys still out ran them.

Looks like fitness won't hold us back this year.

Lol...at 24 Treners is old guard.

Can't wait to see the "I was wrong" post when he starts carving the game up.

Yeah well I can't wait to see your, "Sheeit Fence was right! response"!

He has missed 2 plus years out!

Name any other player that has had such an extensive time out that has come back?

Look he was reasonably good early, but in all honesty given his injuries and the pace of the game , can anyone really see him forcing a place in this current side?? And if so what position would he play?? In front of Who??

I can remember many years ago when Moloney and Rivers had such extensive lay offs that I posted 'anything we get out of them from here will be a bonus. They have been out so long that I no longer view them as viable players.'

That was around 2008. Rivers had been out for almost two years and Moloney had made it back for a few moments before going down again.

Both went on to play out very good careers.

Before that was David Schwartz who went on to become the ox afer 3 knee reco's.

That's just the Demon players off the top of my head.

Toumpas. Sorry, automatic response to your posts, Picket.

What I meant to say was that (ahem), James Hird had a very successful playing career after coming back from a long lay off with an injury similar or even the same as Trengove's.

Good to know, but I'm now concerned for Trengove's moral development.

Let's just wait and see how it evolves for Trenners. No one knows for sure but he is a much loved player and let's just wish him the best and give him our support no matter what transpires.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
