The 2015 AFL Draft is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 24, with proceedings beginning at5:30pm local time, 6pm AEDT.

What time exactly will we know by tomorrow?

I would say a bit after 7pm

I think Curnow will drop to Carlton. They will have his brother to keep him in line.

I've leaned towards Parish because:

  1. He's got that speed of thought and action that's especially important at AFL level where time and space become more limited
  2. He's consistently proved that he can do it against the best competition that could be mustered in his age levels.

Changed my mind after watching Olivers 2 videos on youtube and I'm all for him at 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAyX8del0Us

He looks really good in the video (reminds me of a rep kid [vic country] coming back to play TAC cup and you just know hes too good (and too big) for the level, hence making the team play that much better.

Ok, my guess is:

Pick 3 - Parish (or I can live with Oliver should the club consider him the better option, seems it's got to be one of those 2 as Essendon look likely to take Francis & whichever mid we don't take at 3, they need players who can step in ASAP).

Pick 7 - Weideman...... I don't want to 'reach' for a type, whether mid or tall at either pick, but I actually like the look of this guy & don't mind the look of McKay also. However if the club decided Milera or someone else is best here, again I'll back the current group given the last 2 years. I do think we need some more tall depth, however realistically, no matter which tall we take early or late in the draft, they will spent the majority of 2016 developing at Casey, which given the comments made by Mahoney about getting next year's 1st rounder in this year (a year earlier) I reckon we'll go tall here.

Parish for me. I still think he fills a need and appears to have the right tools to be a good player.

This draft does smell a bit like the 2003 draft. Not too many people making noise about anyone in particular. You have to just hope our picks pan out.

I have just changed from Oliver (formerly Parish) to Francis based on Quigley's wrap. Happy for Oliver to go at seven (7)!

Yes, Francis + Oliver please.

?.................

Anyone mentioning the 2003 draft needs to take a good, long, hard look at themselves. Our two picks in the top five of a draft that turned out to be one possibly the worst ever. Typical of Melbourne's luck that the same picks the next year would have yielded Ryan Griffin and Lance Franklin instead of the Sylvia and McLean.

No we are a different club making our own luck these days. All we need to do is get within cooee of our drafting from last year which I reckon will end up being our very own super draft; Brayshaw, Petracca, ANB, Stretch, vandenBerg and even both White and O Mac could prove to be more than handy.

I'm going with Oliver at 3, not because I know anything, but just because I like big, bustling and aggressive mids.

But whoever we pick, I honestly believe these days, we will nail it

Changed my vote from Parish to Oliver.

Jumped on the bandwagon.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
