He would still be our best player even now.

It is a real shame. We haven't had much luck landing quality mids.

 

Fact - Daniher decided to let him go probably because he was licking his chops at having a pick of a number of Geelong youngsters of which they chose Moloney.

The claim of 'fact' has to be one of the most misused on Land.

Especially when "probably" is used in the same sentence.

If he had stayed at Melbourne he would have turned out average at best

If we had kept him (and Farmer, and Thommo he had not been injured mid 2004) we might have pinched a flag in 2004, 05 or 06.


His father did not like Daniher, to do with playing him even when he was injured.

He was no gun when he left us - in 2004 he started to emerge as a player the same way we are seeing Salem emerge - then he broke his foot and missed the back half of the season. He got better and better became a gun for Adelaide around 2007.
