Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

This deal just reminded me that Clark can GAGF.

So... can we all start saying what we think of Clark now?

WJ may need to send the profanity filter into overdrive mode.

I've got a feeling the AFL won't play Demons v Cats next year at the G.

Will be at Skilled on a Saturday night where only 100 Demons fans can get in.

Soft Option.

Bet Clark thinks hes just gonna waltz into finals next year

thank god

[censored] Clark you [censored] [censored] head

you wont be missed [censored]

As dirty as I am that he chose not to play for us, at least coming out of retirement has allowed us to get the Prince.

Saints just traded Rhys Stanley to Geelong

MsCartin at pick 1 now surely?

you'd presume so.

otherwise, they have no talls. he's actually their third most experienced! scary.

they can add a mid at 21.

Yeah, McCartin's looking mighty good at pick 1 now.

Does this give us leverage with GWS to offload pick 2 so they can get Petracca? We'll take Shiel. :)

Ha! Remember the Scully game at the G, where those blokes were waving around bags of cash! Funny stuff!

Maybe we can wave around tissues for MC!

Who was it last night that said we would get nothing for Clark

Would anyone take The bulldogs captain for pick 3 or is he to old.?

He wants out of Melbourne so not going to work. He is bloody good though.

When is Kennedy coming to Melbourne?

Ryan Dee said it will be done by 3 pm today

Not long to go now!!!!111!!1

When is Kennedy coming to Melbourne?

Just under 2 hours.

So far, this has been the worst trade period for us in a long while.

Not only did we lose our 2 best KPPs, we've not gained any midfielders and all we received for Clark is a dime a dozen rebounding defender (no offence to The Prince, I hope he does well)

I could have sworn we received pick 3 for someone who wasn't worth pick 3.

That's about it for me too. We will start next year with a significantly weaker squad than we had this year, and nothing has been done about the midfield (barring a late miracle).

I'll be celebrating that if Pick 3 turns out to be as good a player as Frawley is/was.

History says they might not. Or they might ask for a trade to Hawthorn next year. Or they'll chase cash from GWS. Or they'll break their foot in 18 different places playing lawn bowls.

cannot wait... counting down the seconds...

Really???

Frawley played forward with little effect. Replaced in the side with Hogan.

Terlich was running off half back. Replaced with Lamumba.

We didn't even have a crumbing forward. Insert Garlett.

Clark didn't play..hence no loss.

How do we have a weaker squad?

Perfectly appropriate post given your name Jaded, congratulations.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
