WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

Has to be a succession plan in the midst...

From what Roosey is saying, the chances of him becoming our long-term coach is very low. We'd have to become real good, real quick for him to want to stay any longer than three or four years at the most.

Hearing him say 'we' just warms my heart

Wants Watts and Sylvia

He is already making jokes about the priority pick.

"What are we going to do with the priority pick stevo (journo) just gave us?"

Yes I do, I have stated that before, if it was Leigh Mathews, then I would be doing cartwheels.

Roos inherited quite a healthy playing list from Eade, he had two bloody good assistants in Lyon and Longmire, a lot of the clubs were struggling, West Coast was really the only challenger, yes he changed footy by having role players, but he then got out when a rebuild was on the cards and has been away from the 'frontline' for a while......I will reserve my judgement

When did the rebuild at the Swans happen??

You still miss Neeld.

I've been in a meeting, what did I miss?

Nasher had a shower!

Would not be against trading pick 2.

SUSPENSE OVER !!! No point in continuing this thread.. Have a look back at some of the BS that has been written on here . .Until next year... No point in the site really... No more negative posters please.. Happy New Year to all... A new journey begins... GO DEES GET ON BOARD.. :)

For those not watching the press conference, here's how it's going:

PAUL ROOS: "Us, us, us, we, we, we, talent, talent, talent, positive, positive, positive."

He just said we might put pick 1 on the table!!!!!!!!!!

so they must have asked for priority pick - pick 1

Wants Watts and Sylvia

Succession plan invoked from the get-go.

Every assistant coach should be lining up around the block to work under Roos or the next three years if they want to be a senior coach.

PJ: "This is the most significant thing that's happened at this club since 1965."

I can't disagree with that, TBH.

I feel a succession plan going on here......as I said above.....want to see the assistants

When did the rebuild at the Swans happen??

You still miss Neeld.

try reading it slowly......it wasn't a complete rebuild, just a changing of the guard at the top and making sure you brought in the right youngsters, hence my comment on Longmire being a bloody good coach

Pick 1 is on the table.

Every assistant coach who wants to be a senior coach in three years should be lining up around the block to get the senior assistant gig, and then the job once Roos has righted the ship.

Bring it on Roos, guide us into the light!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
