Positive Coaching

Amazing - when the bullies were being compared to us, their coaches said bring on the heat, we're here to win all our games.

Our coach just wants effort and keeps lowering expectations until we eventually might meet them.

So the bullies win two in a row and we will be satisfied with a ten goal loss

Go figure

Amazing. Yet another lynch Neeld thread. Go figure.

just beat me to it: how many get riff of Neeld threads do we now have?

Not really surprising considering Neeld is the most despised coach for many a year at the dees.

McCartney comes from the Geelong line, as does Ken.

Any assistant coaches from that line make no excuses.

Think the Geelong and Sydney line of assistants and there you'll find all the good coaches in the league atm.

Hell of a production line.

The difference is that Doggies come into this season with no real expectations and without the same media attention.

I believe our press conferences are deliberately bland and banal so that we dont give the media any oxygen. Press conferences are for the media and public and im sure our players are encouraged to compete and win.

If the rain continues If the team decides to play hard accountable footy If the coach starts man on man and dosent panic with 3 players behind the ball

We are always a chance maybe not to win but maybe not to be thrashed

Next week we can start the Sack (who ever is now coach) thread. That's what us Melbourne supporters are best at. Come on Neeld stick it up them today.

If we had the experienced players that the Bullies have then I would expect more too...

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
