And that's because this "pact" stuff is carp.

If it were true like you tell it, they'd all have singed in January.

Believe it or rot, M

But, isn't it all unfolding as reported???

Hmmmm?

Oh come on, you're not that daft.

There may have once been some sort of pact, and they may have signed on for the most part, but that's because they can tell they're odds on to win a flag there with their mates if they stay.

It's not because a handful of them made a pact as teenagers.

No, no, my mail came in late last year.

It wasn't a witches' coven or some sorority prank....a group of players pledged that they would all sign on to see how far they could go.

That's all. No need to believe me.

I think it all depends on what they're offered by other clubs. Unless they get Boyd-like money, there's not currently a great reason to leave. I'd give Treloar Boyd-like money though. But that's just me. Apparently, Collingwood have offered him $750k. That shouldn't be enough to prise him, unless he really wants back to Victoria.

750k?

Gee whiz...and he does a knee? Wow.

Clubs are getting desperate.

I hope our club stitches up Hogan ala Freo with Pav....they managed to hold onto him.

We have a better young list than Fremantle. I know Fremantle look good atm, but Pav, Sandilands, Mundy, Johnson, and even Barlow, aren't too far off retiring. When Fremantle go through that inevitable football regression - where they slide outside the 4, MFC will be going through the opposite - hopefully anyway. It is all about timing, and IMO, the timing will be on our side in regards to Hogan.

haven't looked at the Freo list, but if what your saying is right, then Rossy Lyon had better do better with his list, than he did at the Saints.

Exactly, it's like continuing to talk about a player we could have drafted three years ago.

You're unintentionally hilarious.

more like temporarily close & pin, for a later date

again we should have gone hard for him when he wasn't a name 2 years back.

just like Danger & Boak back about 5 yrs or so.

Its should be Henderson now... & Prestia. et al.

We can offer pick 4 and Howe for Dylan Shiel. Thoughts???

Now that Shiel has signed, surely Treloar or Coniglio would be the target?

Happily give up either pick 4 (about correct weight) or Howe (a steal) for Coniglio.

I don't think Treloar would be realistic.

Totally different case. 3 Years ago Ollie Wines was available and wanting yes Wanting to get to the MFC!

Dylan Shiel already a GWS Player and clearly see's his team going places!

Time to wise up to the reality!

One we could /should have got , the other was just smoke and mirrors!

Moving on!!

Actually, no. You're not moving on. You're trolling.

Actually no, stating facts!!

Fact Ollie Wines wanted to come to MFC

Fact Dylan Shiel was just a figment of a lot of peoples Pipe dream ( A bit like thinking gee I'm gunna win Tattslotto tonight!!) show me where there was any any facts he was entertaining coming to us! ??

Nup The reality bus has just hit the delusional posters on this site!

I couldn't give a stuff!

Nope - both part of the pact.

Signed in blood....

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
