In: McDonald, Kent, MacDonald

Out: Gillies, Watts, Dunn

Sellar down back where he belongs, McDonald up forward where he played well at the end of last year, Watts out for a disgustingly laconic game.

Tapscott survives through his lack of gametime in the last couple of years.

While I agree about Watts putting in a poor effort yesterday, I do believe that there were some mitigating circumstances to that. And while it's not exactly making up for the poor on-field showing, at least he's had the intestinal fortitude to face up to the media since the game, which is more than can be said for his teammates.

I was umming about Watts as I think he is a confidence player above all else and might be more detrimental to drop him than effective. That is a good point but changes really do need to be made.

**FORFEIT**

At least then the club won't experience humiliating losses

FFS - if there are issues "in house" do us all a favour and fix it quickly, no matter what it takes. Wouldn't care if it was someone like Garry Lyon - club is bigger than any person and if the performance of the team is failing because of one or more persons - SACK THEIR ARSE!!

I don't mean to be childish here (or maybe I do), but Dunn has to go, and to all those who wanted him in for Round 1 - I told you so.

He's completely useless and the fact he's played 100 games is a reflection of where this club's at right now.

From the parts of the game I've seen, I can't see the addition Pedersen gives to the side, and if Dawes is fit, surely that's a direct swap. Hopefully McDonald can take Gillies' place (no idea how Gillies played, but McDonald walks into our side and sounds like Gillies wasn't that good anyway).

Davey in as a wingman maybe? Blease to play a full game? Anything to give us more run. Although run can't be the only thing, since it seems Nicholson, one of our quickest, turned it over a lot.

Tapscott's likely to become our next Matt Bate - looks the type physically, shows promise early, but stagnates badly and goes nowhere over the course of 2-3 years. Thought Terlich did enough pre-season to get a game, so maybe that's a swap too.

I would bring in Terlich as well and drop Nicholson and Sellar [for dropping those marks] ahead fof Dunn and Watts for the same reasons that Dr M. gave

I'd have no issue with record changes. Terlich, Jetta, Kent, Evans , Macdonald, Mcdonald, Davey rather than the likes of Dunn, Watts, garland, Pedersen, Tappy, Sylvia and even Frawley and Mckenzie.

Watched the weekends game at a mates place who's Port supporter. His comment as we were all leaving was "you need another 5 or 6 Viney's."

This was after I drank all his beer and kicked the crap out of his cat on the way out.

Seriously, if the team can bring a similar effort to that of young Jack, we will be competitive.

If Nicholson is picked this weekend I will explode.

I can't understand how tapscott was selected in the first place. He hardly earned his spot based on his pre-season form -this simply doesn't happen in the good sides, if you're borderline best 22 you have to show some kind of form to warrant inclusion.

Can anyone tell me what his optimal position is? His 7 possessions today tells me he isn't a half forward flanker.

Other than being solidly built he hasn't shown anything in his career so far, other than laying a few bumps.

Had a decent debut playing on the half back flank and with that booming kick got the job of the kicking the ball back into play

Had high hopes for Tappy as he looked an excellent prospect predraft

Needs to control his aggression and concentrate on the basics of playing simple footy

IMO he is a robust forward flanker who should kick it to the top of the square as soon as he gets the ball

Part of the DO don't think group we seem to have too many of

To me he (and others) seems to be confused or timid about making a mistake which i fear is the result of being over coached

Absolutely stick to team rules but as long as it isnt a 10 page book then i really cannot see a problem in using his greatest asset .....KICKING THE BLOODY THING

Players under 50 games should play on instinct as that is what got them picked up in the draft in the first place

Sam Blease to play for Casey.... Seriously.

yep...

IMO the Senior side should be composed of this group which ever are fit...

start with our hardest heads in the side first, then as we gain confidence, introduce some more skill to the side.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
