Mark Neeld's year from hell

I thought the viney pick at 26 and the statue of Norm might have eased the chaotic karma of this club and made Neeld's ride a little smoother. hard to concentrate on your preseason training regime when the papers are full of stories of our potential demise...

I would say, he wished he had never applied for the job....the club will be no where until Schwab leaves or gets fired-- he is a looser.

Ah Demonland.

Why risk losing a statement in a 38pg thread when you can start a new one..

So, mods, it is OK to start yet another tanking thread - probably about the sixth today.

I think I will try to take a break for a few days - this is just getting so boring.

Should extend his contract before he decides his sick of the sh#thole the MFC has become.

If I can figure out how to close topics using the mobile skin I will close it. I agree that we don't need a new thread on every detail of the one topic.

It will take months, possibly a year write up the report and have the legals sift through every word, note the HSU report by FWA,and then hand down a decision, penalties and the likely appeal..I suggest you create a Tanking forum, there are already 6 threads running concurrently, must be a nightmare to administer.

No it won't take too long. Unless it can be shown that players on the field were instructed not to try I believe we will be cleared. And my impression is that this was not the case, the effort they put into the WC match the week after Jimmy's shock announcement was total. Remember guernsey 37 being waved around by the players after the siren?

Thread closed./

PS. Nasher - Need to go full version from MS.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
