Looking really rattled at the moment.

Missed a hellofalot of chances

Maggots helping right now with unpaid mark in front and touched goal that very clearly wasn't.

A relief for them to actually nail a set shot for once.

Hawks will eat them if they are as unsure of themselves as they have been tonight...assuming they win.

Throwing the ball is the rule again tonight.

Richards shows a lot of guts.

Where is Joffa's jacket, because it is GAME OVER!!!

They need to clean up their delivery forward and finishing, if they are to challenge the Hawks (or Crows).

Geez - Harry O took them on, caught, but no HTB.

By the way, an observation: Pies have only won one of four finals since we stole their midfield coach! So even those who deride Neeld must see at least some good from his appointment :-)

Will Cloke wear the black and white again? (unless he does something that will make him serve time)

i have never supported another club like i did tonight!

Players of Melbourne take note!

  • Strong Culture......why?
  • All work hard for each other.....why?
  • Have never bottomed out.....why?
  • No pick 1s or tanking.......why?
  • Turn rejected players from other clubs into great players... why?
  • Two 300 gamers playing like champions....why?
  • Last 2 senior coaches from within......why?

CULTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Takes more than a few extra $$$ to win finals!

Its attitude!

Moloney & Sylvia wouldnt get a game with their attitudes!

This coming from a team that has only had 2 top 10 draft picks since 2000. And we continue salivating at our next crop of top draft picks and still flounder at the bottom. Not just culture but organisation. We have been run by a bunch of F%$&wits for too long.

Interesting that in one week's time, the city of Sydney could have the top side and the bottom side in the comp.

Reakon being out of the AFL media glare helps also.

Less Hollywood BS.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
