Melbourne

Rohan Bail (concussion) - test

Neville Jetta (ankle) - test

Brad Green (hip) - 2-3 weeks

Michael Evans (back) - 2-4 weeks

Liam Jurrah (ankle) - 2-4 weeks

Clint Bartram (knee) - season

Mitch Clark (foot) - season

Max Gawn (knee) - season

Rory Taggert (back) - indefinite

LJ has been 2 - 4 weeks for the last 3 weeks.

Looks like we are playing the Geelong game

Nominate 2 - 4 weeks for as long as it takes!

What's happening with LJ? Haven't heard anything for weeks.. No mention of his progress in the Dave Misson updates.

Anyone heard anything? Could use his goal kicking now Clark is out.

Actually, this list seems like the shortest its been all year. And apart from Clark and Jurrah (and maybe Bartram), I reckon it seems that our best 22 is now available and just need some game time in the legs.

I'm glad Jetta may get a chance to press his case - his career is currently in the balance. He's probably the least gifted player on our list, but makes up for it with courage, aggression and hard work. I've always thought that when push comes to shove his lack of speed and small tank would be his undoing, but I've also had the feeling that he's the sort of player Neeld might love because of the attributes he does have. We'll see; good luck Nev.

Really happy for Jetta, hope he can get some footy into him. Jurrah doesn't seem to have improved in his prospects, I imagine they'll really take it easy with him.

we need a little live wire in our forward line desperately, hopefully Nev can get into the senior team to fill that role

Also when you see LJ 2 - 4 weeks, it may as well say LJ - Season

Last time it was 2 - 4 weeks for his wrist it ended up being 10 months

Remember Nev Jetta's tackle last year when he brought down some brontosaurus or other head on - was it Sandilands? Would be great to get some of that back.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
