Hey all,

I'm a recent sign up to demonland.

I've started a new blog about being a Dees supporter in our tough times.

I hope some of you guys will find it enjoyable to read over. I'm taking a lighthearted approach to the topic.

So have a look and hit me up with feedback.

www.diarydemon.blogspot.com

If you don't enjoy it please keep feedback constructive rather than crude.

Thanks all,

FCmelb

Good start, quite enjoyed it. Keep it up!

Enjoyed it mate, look forward to having a read each week.

good read mate keep it going

So it wasn't the worst we could have expected!

I was pretty pleased in patches and then in fits of rage as we softened up and let the Pies kick an easy 4 or 5 goals.

Still, when we showed we actually wanted to go hard we were on terms with them. Take a bow Jack Grimes for the head clash contest.

This is a blog I've started and am writing each week having a look back at the games with a bit of a light-hearted approach.

Have a read.

Feedback very welcome, please keep it constructive if you don't like it.

Thanks,

So season 2 starts with a win.

Can the Dees salvage something from the second half and show us supporters what we so want to see?

I also wanna know, what do we think about the new backline without Garland and Rivers. Will it stay this way???

I spose it's about versatility.

I've started a blog that I hope all supporters enjoy.

Hit me back with some feedback if you're interested.

Cheers,

fcmelb

Honestly? You are probably better off posting here if you want readership, but that's just my view...

lol

What is a blog but a mini-forum with one contributor?

Thanks to 'Demon' for the feedback.

As a result here's a little bit of this weeks blog:

Footy is a physical game. We often see players go so hard at it that neither gets up unassisted. We watch as bones snap, heads clash and concussion sweeps through a playing list.

This, I already knew.

I did not know, however, that spectating could also prove quite so physically demanding. Waking up Monday morning I felt as though I’d gone three rounds with The Champ (I can just imagine every boxer of the last 10 years, with their self-inflated ego’s, reading this thinking, “hey, he’s talking about me”).

But why?

Well I knew the loss of our favourite son Mitch Clark would hurt but I was hardly prepared for just how much. When the news broke last week I had no plans for a candlelight vigil down at AAMI park.

Now I’m selling candles for $2 each or three for 5. See you there.

If you're interested in checking out the rest please hit the link.

Also please keep that feedback coming. It's much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

fcmelb

Here's the next one guys.

Bit of video content in there this week.

And as with last week here's a little of the blog up front:

I wasn’t able to catch the whole game on Saturday and apparently that wasn’t such a bad a thing. Going off what people have told me, the parts I missed were just about as bad, if not worse, than the one’s I caught.

So what to make of it?

Well, considering the actual game was a battle of who could lose first, maybe we should turn our attention to things that managed to be more painful viewing for the time being. We'll get to the calamity later.

The advertisements. Now these are worse. They have to be.

Latest update following another bout of disappointment.

This week sees a nod to Dennis Parker. Don't know who he is?

You should. And you won't regret it once you do.

Cheers guys,

fcmelb

Preview:

There’s one thing worse than leading a game for three quarters before conceding seven goals to zip in the last and finishing up 34 point losers. That thing is Fremantle’s club song.

Following a spirited display for most of the game I know I felt pretty flat when the final siren sounded. I sat there thinking, “well, that was rubbish,” and then the Freo club song started, rubbish had new meaning.

Just put your blog here as a single post. you can have your own thread and update it each week

Has this got a virus it keeps popping up on my desktop nonstop

Anyone else had a problem?

I open the page then shut the page and it just keeps on coming back up over and over.

Maybe my computor is sick

Fair call.

What I'll do is only update it in the 'diary demon' thread.

Thanks MD,

There's a 'diary demon' thread.

That's the only place the blog updates will be advertised from now on.

Sorry for the past few.

Problem now fixed.

Alternatively ,you could quit your rubbish blog and just post random and obscure thoughts on here and cop "feedback" like all the rest of us .

Individuailty is frowned upon in here-so just be yourself .

If you cant be yourself ,then just write what everyone finds socially and morally acceptable so we can drift into a deep coma and ignore the needs of our families/housemates whining and rustling around the place .

I admire your ambition and entreprenuereal spirit in trying to create your own thing but I am suspicious of creativity in general so I have organised a hit man funded by guys like Nasher ,HT ,Old Dee and the Neo cons to vist you at your blogosphere .

Sorry.

Have to say though, totally agree.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
