Moloney is a joke.

Watts one on one effort on bootsma was disgraceful. Pea heart. It's hard to keep defending him.

WATTS -- go for the bloody mark !!!!!

Mr Malthouse -- please have a chat about this over a latee!!!!

I had similar thoughts myself -- he looked satisfied that he got rid of the ball and didn't follow up.

Judd breaking the tag.

Bloody hell -- Magner's head knocked off -- not high contact???

He dumps off and ineffective handball that made his teammate have to work against 3 and just stood back and watched....

Come on Melbourne, there's 10 minutes left, pick yourselves up and show some heart.

You've given up, show us you care.

Too much slimming down and not enough strength work during our offseason, tackles are getting brushed aside so easily.

And resigned.

Maybe a few of them should

Robinson and Brock killed us today.

Jamar and Moloney might as well have just stayed in the changerooms.

Watts will get ripped for a few weak efforts.

Nicholson, Blease, and McDonald showed something.

Jack Watts turn over. What is going on with this kid?

We don't even know how to lose with dignity.

3 OK quarters and then garbage. Our midfield makes baby Jesus cry.

And if Watts showed any less intensity I'd think he was in a coma.

I'm not too worried about the skills dropping in this last quarter, that will improve with fitness, but the lack of effort and desperation and the feeling of deflation palpable amongst the players is a worry to me.

Hansen is just too strong one on one for Rivers. Still no move - what about Sellar. Isn't that what we picked him for?

I hope MN doesn't make the same mistake next week that DB did last year with Cloke and try to use him again.

He only kicked 2 goals, one in garbage time, and Rivers set up most of our good plays, so why change it?

FFS SHOW SOME HEART NOW MFC.

This quarter they've just turned around, bent over, pulled down the panties and waited...

He can still do the positives on a less bulky player -- Cloke will eat him.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
