I must be getting old. Watts and co laughing up a storm while we're down by 6 goals got a frown from me.

Come on, you love it.

Gives another opportunity to sink the boots in.

Oh Sellar. Please make Martin fit ASAP.

We are no good. The end.

Clark, Jones and Morton very good today. Frawley better in the second half.

Malhouse is fair dinkum barracking for the dees.

Come on, you love it.

Gives another opportunity to sink the boots in.

Yeah I really savour that you muppet.

Still here.

Not enjoying the score, but enjoying the boys working at it and not giving up.

Thanks for thinking of me.

You're welcome :-) Yeah and I agree, I'm also enjoying watching those few that are working hard.

Mrotn wind free and effective kick i50 to Magner who....touched by man om mark..point.. again basic error

Jamar is sometimes as much to blame as anyone. Good rucking, but having taken a mark looks to handball to a teammate with two opponents bearing down on him awaiting to tackle. Turnover.

Who was it said our defence was our strong point?

Mrotn wind free and effective kick i50 to Magner who....touched by man om mark..point.. again basic error

And rushed up the other end for a Geelong goal!!!

You're welcome :-) Yeah and I agree, I'm also enjoying watching those few that are working hard.

Now you're getting the hang of it.

Go Demons!

Our defensive pressure has been very ordinary today....too many loose cats players...if we brought last weeks effort into todays game would have been alot closer.

A bit of straight kicking in this last quarter and we would have gone down by less than 5 goals.

Mitch and Cale real shining lights. Come on Dees. Show some fight!

Geez if we only got it in there more often Clark could win a coleman

Clark is deadset our best player. Absolute star performance. Deserved a better finish.

You know what one of the worst things about today's effort is? We are all going to think we did well because we only got flogged by 43 points which is a great improvement on last year's 186.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
