I've got a couple of mates with it .

These days the pens are fantastic for the jab and the guys will know where to find the "All Natural Sweets" if the club doesn't provide them.

Obviously it's a big pain for the kid.

Good luck Fitzy .

Real tough luck Fitzy

It will take time to stabilise and learn how to manage his condition

I think that will account easily for the rest of this season

Here's hoping you get on top of it big fella and continue playing

You deserve some luck

Having the problem more clearly identified can lead to improvement and be better for him in the long run because he can manage it far better. It's not a death sentence for 'poor' Jack.

Type 1 diabetes didn't stop Dale Weightman, and it didn't stop Joe Frazier, Steven Redgrave, Arthur Ashe, Wasim Akram and Billie Jean King.

Sad to hear of Jacks illness. The important thing is that Jack focus on his health and the day to day trials of living with this illness. Look after your self big fella and hopefully well see you back in action.Take heart in the fact that others before you have walked the same path and had stellar careers. All the best.

Good interview with Jack on the MFC site... kid has a good head on his shoulders; have to say I really admire his attitude!

Indeed! The fact that he has managed to achieve so much in his short life, and make it on to an AFL list, even in spite of apparently fighting CFS, would indicate the kid is a real fighter, and made of the right stuff. Here's hoping he can get on top of this, too, and forge for himself a long and distinguished careed with the Mighty Dees!

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
