The sons of the MFC and Casey head coaches are playing. Seb and Jack.

BTW Seb is an excellent, bloody excellent WK/Batsman.

Viney is playing with a Green(e), Evans, McDonald?

and a Gotch/Williams (casey & ball movement coach)?

He's named on he field?

Im assuming "unusual" is another word for "promising"

Had a bit to do with Caulfield Grammar this year, young Seb Gotch is going to be an absolute gun whichever way he chooses (footy or cricket). Pity he can't do a Simon O'Donnell and continue with both. Had a couple of real lookers at Caulfield this year - Gotch, Tom Bugg (off to GWS next year - will be watching his progress closely - dead set GUN, really should be looking at snaffling him from GWS in a year or 2 when his contract is up) and Jordy Kelly playing for Vic country at CHB all look the goods.

as for 'unusual' - what rhaz said above

Does Gotch share his father's height? If so would he get a game in "modern football"? Oh and if he's a decent cricketer, I thnk we might need him there more, although being a Victorian...

Unfortunately yes, dead set midget. Takes a massive hanger though. Is it possible for a 5 and half footer to play tall???? That's what he does at schoolboy level! Would get a gig as a specialist small forward a la Milne, Schneider although plays more like Le Cras great set of hands

Wooffindin is a distant cousin of Shane Woewodin?

That's so bad it made me laugh.

CGS need some guns. They haven't had one for a few seasons.

Gotch is a midget but an absolute machine, racks up the possies, dangerous small forward and can take a hanger.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
