We have now passed 18000 posts, on over 720 pages with over 300000 views.

I respectfully propose, that when we hit 1000 pages and 20000 posts, we have a party, where we can all have some of our favourite food and drinks, like Banana Dacquiries and Banana Splits.

The "Lads" are very discerning about guests. So I doubt that any of the perverts that post here would be welcome. However, if said perverts were weighed down with wine .... or ( licentious) women .. they would be welcomed with open arms. As for Song ... well we all know what he's like.

Like an honest Arabian named Asif.

You would cellar the good stuff and pull out the bargain blend from Old Dees undrinkable pile.

Then take the female to check out your new she shed, which I imagine to be like DCs man cave without the clutter of bearskins and Skulls, and other what-nots.

It is this level of vulgarity that makes the "Lads" insist on banning you. The credit card incident didn't help either.

However, given your Asian liaisons, I would like your opinion on my post 17974. The Doctor was useless.

Dr John. You are clearly a man of letters ...and numbers... so you maybe able to help me out with this. I have heard (yes I know hearsay) that in certain establishments in SE Asia that young female employees are in fact, identified by a number that is textered on their .... argh ... person.

Apparently the idea is that if you wish to have an intellectual discussion with said young ladies, you ask the maitre d to invite, let us say number 69 24 over to your table.

Is that your understanding of the process?

How vile to number women as if they are a commodity.

I personally use letters though I assume dedicated perverts like yourself and DC need a system that exceeds 26.

Doubt there are many said young ladies around Dick Hopping Creek for Dr John to use as a geographical comparison to this process Uncle Bitter

Don't be such a hypocrite Biffen!! At least dc does not hide his predatory ways - we know what he is chasing. (Although some would consider hunting prey that relies on a walking frame a little questionable)

The numbers in the will have always been more important to DC than age.

It's a gigolos creed.

MMmmmmm.. fair point Moon. I had forgotten Dr. John's roots. I think he needs to explain the derivation of this place name and his part in it.

As grasshopper HT has told you it is Sour Chicken Balls day.

Who would want to eat the sour balls of a chicken? It just makes no sense, as Seinfeld the Grand Wizard used to say.

Let alone the balls of a sour chicken (which, come to think of it, sounds like good advice :)) :):o

I just scrolled through the last 50 odd posts, that is time I won't get back. Best retire to bed with a good book, I think.

Heading off to Cuba in a few weeks so I am reading some Spanish books, though they are the equivalent of the old John and Betty readers that we once read in grade 1 I think. Anyway I have to brush up the Spanish just in case I run into Fidel while I am there.

Desperate to get there before the Yanks get there in numbers and transform the place.

A pleonasm, surely.

Of course, Uncle Bitters, if you were to offer more adequate remuneration for my advice you could expect more effective service ... although I presume this won't be the first time you've been told something like that.

Your Freudian slip, Moonie, betrays a truth that only we locals understand the full measure of.

I haven't ... oh, actually ...

Been 40 extra pages since I have wandered over here.
I always thought Uncle Bitter's place would have a man shed that was like Mick Taylor's dungeon from Wolf Creek.

War and Peace is a nice short story for bedtime.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
