Now that Poonie is going to sleep, I can ask for some sensible advice. I have a moral problem. Each night , a little earlier than now, a family of magpies arrive to cadge a free meal. They are the avian equivalent of dole bludgers. (They probably nest near the Gat.)

The "lads" hate anything "magpie" and demand that I shoot them. I feel this would go against my green credentials.

So I propose shooting the parents. Not only would this remove two parasites but it would serve as a timely lesson to the young ones and give them the opportunity to reform.

As I have been unable to contact Lordweaver for his spiritual guidance I am asking for assistance in this matter.

you could send danny katz (the modern guru) an email

Good point but I don't want to offend Lordweaver. Besides he'd probably dish out some left wing advice to give out more food to convince the Magies to change their colours.

It's bloody amazing. I ask for advice about my computer and I get Jack. I mention violence and killing and you blokes are all over it. Perhaps the sanctimonious ones on the Clark thread would have been more sympathetic

Actually, sage it good with gamey bird as a stuffing or a sauce. I suggest butter ,sage , pepper and oil.

Now that we have dispensed our sage advice I suggest we leave the great man alone to sort out Mitch Clarks life and get back to that crossword clue that we keep slipping up on.

Morality is such a grey area when you face property damage and interruption to your neighbourly duties.

My advice to you is the same as Kissinger gave Nixon. Nuke 'em.

You borewood boys really do have a sadistic streak. Stuies even more boring than Moon.

.....but not quite as much as you, old fella.

If you have a problem with magpies, put Nathan Buckley in charge of the situation. He's sure to completely f**k them up. He's got prior experience.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
