The most exciting time of the year for Demons has arrived.

Lets hope that we can start enjoying the footy again.

Few deals done. Think we will have Hogan tomorrow or Wednesday, the way Harrington was gushing about him. If we can get pick 20 back in the deal I can see the Dawes deal being done for that quickly, so Pies can move on. Eddie is referring to him as a past player already. He seems happy to come to us, unlike Wellingham and Caddy.

So how's everyone's blood, pressure NOW ? Lol

Am celebrating with a Banana daiquiri :)

CHEERS !!!!!!

CHEERS !!!!!!

Blood pressure is fine

Just pulled the cork on the Single malt

Don't normally have one on Monday night however that is probably the best news for 2012 so far so what the hell.

It's time for T$ closure. It's time for JV to smash him a good one next year, and we can all laugh and move on having dodged the biggest bullet of all time.

Amen. You know I can't mention him, but I was thinking, how funny would it be, with Whitfield and Toumpas and others added to the GWS list, if he can't make the side. $1M a year to play in the local seconds.

Would be funnier if we poached Whitfield.

Oh the laughs!

Well after all the dust settles after the trading, the drafting and the trimming I'm not sure I'll recognize our team.

Hallelujah and tftf !!!!! :)))

Don't think I've look so forward to the 1st round so much for a long long long time.:)

I think your memory is failing bb

Seem to remember great excitment after 2010 season and drafting.

Then again last year after Neeld was appointed.

Both ended in disaster.

Now I will admit this year does look way better than this time last year because we are changing some of the cattle this year.

So I hope 2013 shows a small amount of improvement.

Closure? I know what you're saying, but 4 and 13 haven't been finalised yet in terms of their use.

I only thought I was excited those other times as it was obviously a false illusion !!! Lol

This time as you surmise, real change combined with an injection of meaningful acquisitions = some real chance at a competitive team.

My problem Redleg is I find myself yelling at the screen.

Along the lines of " you -u----- idiot."

Best I try and stay away.

Many of us do Old :)

I thought I heard something when I was on Demonland earlier.

Am I the only one craving chicken right now?...

I believe that part of the deal finalised today for Hogan and Barry was that Jack Viney must cease and desist from any attempt at tackling, body slams or other violent attacks on the little mongrel until the end of the 2014 season.

Nice to have you aboard Chelly

But there is something you need to know.

That person you mention ( not J Viney )

is not to be mentioned on this thread.

It is a ------ free zone.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
