    I still like the game but I find enjoyment in it at lower levels. 

    AFL at the top level leaves me cold, it is just about the money and has been for sometime. 

    Only my stupid love affair with the Dees keeps me interested.

I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
