I think you miss my drift Choke.

I was thinking of symmetry in terms of .......... err ...... to put it as delicately as I can .............  a fashion accessory.

patriarchy, another word that is sadly losing it's original meaning due to the incessant revisionism and obsessing of the pc crowd

lol, I was indeed trying to convey that very notion.

Everything is the fault of the patriarchy!

Be careful as to the company you are keeping when you give that order choke.

Anyway as to your perplexity. When I viewed Ethan's pic, symmetry came to mind in terms of the subject's choice of coiffing.

Think of the old tv show "Upstairs Downstairs". Perhaps that will help you unravel the mystery.

This having separate sex 'walk' symbols in the city will never work. Today I just ignored the female walk sign and crossed anyway. Nobody said anything.

was it a sexual experience for you, special? did you feel aroused or just amused?

Glad to see you are not crossing to the other side Special, not that there's anything wrong with that

Colin, you do exaggerate ........ a bit.

Which bit? :)

I crossed the street just to make a point and not wanting to cause an absolute scene on Int. womens day, waited respectfully for the male walk symbol to cross back. I bloody waited 4 sets of lights and no male walk symbol!...What's going on at clown hall.....they can't even get that right!!

Meanwhile all the other blokes took my lead and crossed as they liked with the women. I think I've set a trend.

Neve let it be said you aren't leading the pack Special. Leading where, though, is anyone's guess

Good lord. I think I'll take back what I said before. You might benefit from a night at the Gat before you decide to be like Biffen

Special, I need to raise one or two matters with you.

Firstly, as a homeless person of poverty, how is it that you manage to post on this site? I'm guessing you joined with  some run through gang and stole an I-pad or  other device from an old lady. That's fine, one can only admire resourcefulness.

However, I do take  umbrage at this "proud and erect" stance of yours. It will lead to no good.

Poor people must learn their place. You would be better off adopting a more humble profile. Eyes downcast and adopt a shuffling aimless gait. That way the police will be less likely to bother you and you will not embarrass people of wealth.

Have a good evening.

Don't worry Special, the Earl lives a luxurious exitstance in Fitzroyaly Nth with plenty of space for a man of your ample proportions. BYO goon bags unfortunately.

Moons please I do not live in the burbs as that is how I regard Fitzroy North! I am Fitzroy central please and no I will not be lodging Special. As I have said elsewhere  living under a bridge is luxurious compared to my former circumstances growing up in a shoebox. Hardship can be character building and I am a shining example of  what it can produce, even if I say so myself. I do thank Special for living away out of sight, under a bridge, that is preferable to the ferals sleeping out at Flinders Street Station. Very untidy, and it upsets Robert Doyle so much. But don't bring your bedding to Fitzroy by the way. We have a zero tolerance rule here, Robert.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
