Not one road winner!

Is it payback time for the regular season comp JV?  haha

I'm warming up for a big Sunday of TV sport (mainly NFL) with the Socceroos @ India in a World cup qualifier (Ch10 main channel now - game starts at 10.30pm)

Haha that was my exact thoughts after realising I tipped all home teams 😂

That linesman who is the most penalised and gave the penalty on the TD will be cut at years end.

Chiefs should be up more, kelce dropped a sitter, the refs didn’t call PI on that last possession.

Steelers @ Bills game has been moved to Tuesday 8.30am (AEDT)

Snowstorm issues

Andy Reid's moustache has iced up!

Leaderboard Post Season Tipping Comp

3 - BDA

2 - Gorgoroth,  Go the Biff,  JV7

1 - Clintosaurus,  DeeSpencer,  DemonDave,  layzie,  Macca

0 - Dr.Gonzo,  Dee Zephyr

Today: All sizzle and no steak!

The good news is that we get 2 games tomorrow (without a 5am start) and 2 more games on Tuesday

I'm pretty sure I heard correctly that was the fourth coldest playoff game ever?

Shame as it made for a pretty poor spectacle slow and careful offence rather than explosive plays.

And the sight of coach Reid's frozen moustache in close up almost made me spit out my coffee, had to pause it and show the missus, great camerawork. Better than seeing  Taylor swift for the umpteenth time.

Didn't see the first game, but very happy as a 49er that Demeco is going so well.

Aaron Jones into the endzone after a Packers INT. 14-0 GB

Horrendous start cowboys. They're defence has no answers and Dak throwing the costly pick.

There's time but big adjustments required from the Cowboys.

Bang bang no press man coverage and Nicks is in the endzone for 20-0. Dallas in trouble..

Jordan Love can play. Granted Dallas aren't able to really pressure him but his arm is very impressive

If GB can hold them to max 3 before the half and go in 3 scores up then it’s in their hands.

Love has been impressive as has the oline and the run game.

My tips are flying so far. The DZ curse lol

Unbelievable scoreline

Dak throws a dreadful pick 6. This is a sh*t show. Absolute shambles.

Did you tip the Rams???

Dallas must score on this drive and get something going into the 2nd half with the ball

Ferguson is in and finally Dallas give these of us who took today off something to watch.

Bad penalty to give at the 1.

The horse collar call inside 2 mins should have looked at by NY and tell them it’s no penalty. It was clearly not and cost them 15yrds

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

After kicking the first goal of the match the Demons were always playing catch up against the Saints in Alice Spring and could never make the most of their inside 50 entries to wrestle back the lead.
