Interested in @Macca’s thoughts on today’s game.

i thought that GB ran the ball really effectively early, especially after Wade has gone on the record as the run game doesn’t matter to him as much. Well we had to certainly take notice of it.

The GB Oline was amazing first half, less so in the second but not a huge drop.

GB smashed the Rams on defence in the first half and if not for the punt that netted us the safety I thought the O was tightening up and trying to force things. Gurley was getting stuffed badly. Hekker was massive first half.

Second half, I thought Wade ramped up the pressure in Rodgers and the secondary tightened up, but more that the offence got moving so  we got score board pressure and that is what I thought GB failed to do in the first half.

Summed it up well Gorg and from early on it looked like whoever had the ball last was going to win ... Packers had that possession and then gave it up with a fumbled return.  Annoying.

Rodgers would have almost certainly gotten the team into a field goal position otherwise and then it's up to the kicker.  I thought we played a good game all the same and it was the best we've played all season and with the Vikes losing again today,  we're still a chance for the division.

Next up for Green Bay is @ the Patriots next week (SNF) ... should be a cracker.  Brady vs Rodgers only happens once every 4 years at a minimum.  Bring it on!

Rams @ Saints next week is another potential beauty ... late arvo game.

Go Bills! ?

Ha ha,

dont think I’ll pay that much attention to the game, I will tape it and watch it when I get home but I think I will be paying a lot of attention.

I must admit I jumped around screaming when the fumble occurred.

I expected a knee and when he ran it I started yelling strip it, strip it.

I was hoping for OT as I had no doubt that Rodgers would get into FG range, just wanted them to stop the TD.

Ps

Pats vs packers should be great. Rodgers looked much better moving around and with Cobb going  into his second game will help.

Another massive test for our D. Massive test. Two great runners, Wade needs to respect this.

On offence, we should have Kupp back which will be huge, saints D is great vs the run but not so good vs the pass.

Tate traded from lions to eagles for 3rd round pick

Thomas traded from Broncos to Texans who play the Broncos this week in Denver...

Yesterday’s game wasn’t such a smashing I was expecting. The bills D was so good. I still think the Pats are on the decline and ai think they lose this week to the Packers.

All happening. Tate to Eagles is good... But probably only a year or two he'll work... a third too much?

He is a good player and will help you now.

Thought u would target a RB tbh.

Surprised by trading of Clinton-Dix

There was some talk of haha in the days leading up to trade deadline.

Nah the current RBs are fine... would need to offload a first rounder for something like Bell to improve. I'm surprised we didn't get help in the secondary tbh.

Raiders, Bears, Chiefs

Rough week again. Haven’t had a chance to get on here!

Some interesting results. My takeaways:

- Houston hitting a bit of a stride. Always been a fan of Watson, he was Mahomes before Mahomes.

- This is as consistent as Cam Newton has ever looked. Norv Turner is a great OC and Cam is thriving.

- I can’t sleep on the Steelers. Their pass rush can be good when they want it to be.

- I Wouldn’t be surprised if Gronk was traded.

- The Browns continue to be dysfunctional. Sacking the coach and OC at Week 8, real clever.

Niners, for god sake. The turnovers are just killing us. To nearly get into FG range and blow a Shotgun snap like that is just.. Argh.

Bay area battle tomorrow, we must win. I don’t care if this is the last win of the season.

Very good get. 3rd down machine.

Raiders are total shyte.

Gruden is coaching like a mixture of fisher and neeld.

They are worst side I’ve seen in a long time and I follow the bloody Rams!

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
