Yeah Miami might be a miss for me but after seeing the saints last week I wasn't confident in them either. Their defense is one of the worst in the league at the moment and even my Vikes moved the ball into the red zone plenty of times. We couldn't finish the job and had to stick to field goals. Brees is still the boss but he needs help.

Saints Dolphins Panthers for me.... Is this 3 points this week?

I can see it being mega hard during bye rounds...

Just the one point on offer this week ...

Week 5 is worth 2 points ... after that, the other bonus weeks are week 8, 11, 14 & 17. (All those weeks are worth 2 points except week 17 which is worth 3 points)

All the other weeks are worth 1 point only.

I had a look at the week 5 games and couldn't find one "lock" ... it's the toughest comp in the free world.

Washington by 9... not part of my picks.

Boy do we suck. We're 52-3 in the second half through our three games. And we have the Eagles coming to visit this week. We already had a tough schedule this year, but playing like we are we're continually slipping.

Some intrigue in most divisions though. Is AFC South contending with NFC East for worst division in the league now? I'm still not convinced with the Patriots but which of the others is any more convincing? Would absolutely love to see anyone other than New England win that division.Bills need to beat Houston this week to start with.

Completely forgot that the Miama @ Oakland game is being played in London

I guess that it's technically Oakland's home game which would make Miami the "road" team.

Anyway, for expediency's sake, and for any other games played at neutral venues, any team listed as the "road" team can be included in your tips in the comp.

Anyone who wants to change their tips because of this new information can do so - just delete your original tips and post up your new tips in a different post.

Eli is having a night out so far ... he's damn good when he wants to be.

Turnovers costly for Washington

Ugh. Washington by 9 not looking too wise.

4 interceptions for Cousins - a nightmare.

Another blow-out on a Thursday night but not many were predicting that the Giants would be dishing out the punishment. The NFC East might be alive after all.

The Giants do this all the time - write 'em off and back they come.

Defense, running game, get a good QB and give them a chance. It's the basic philosophy of the NFL. When it goes wrong it can be awful but the Giants don't panic and seem they might actually be right.

Still not sold on their defense against good opposition. Same with their running game. But Eli's making people look silly. And I'd guess you'd be a fan of their offensive coordinator and game plan. Man does he share similarities with Andy Reid.

Where did they find that tight end from?! All of a sudden Eli is throwing it to people who can get separation and catch instead of mugs.

I've always been a fan of Eli and the way the Giants play on offense generally. Eli is a big occasion player and I get that - players like that are exciting to watch. They get criticised for not doing it all the time but that's never bothered me - it's how they're wired and I accept them for who they are. Fantasy sports people would argue with me but I could care less :)

Give me Eli or Big Ben over Romo or a few others, anytime. Getting the job done when it counts is what matters. Eli and Big Ben have been 'A' grade when it matters but unfortunately for both of them, neither of them are surrounded by the weapons that they once had (although Donnell for the Giants is a giant of a man and looks the goods already - he was immense in the red zone today)

The Giants and Steelers can never be underestimated whilst they've got their QB's at the helm.

I reckon Cousins just had a bad day - all players have those days and I wouldn't be writing him off just yet. He looks like he's got a bit of a "gunslinger" in him and again, those sort of QB's are great to watch.

So it seems I've blown our download limit until the first...

Didn't realise watching each game was bad...

Or the broadcast versions are 2.7 gb each... Ha ha oops.

So I'll not be seeing any games this weekend, glad the Rams have the bye.

Ok lets get analytical. I want a point. 12 games left. Need to tip 3 of them.

Ruling out Ten, Jax and TB. All starting back up QBs. Combined 1 win so far. Playing good teams with Luck, Rivers and Big Ben at QB. 9 games left.

Pretty good teams Atlanta, Carolina

Good teams GB, Detroit, NE, Phil, NO,

Below average teams Miami*, Buf

Pretty good teams: Baltimore

Good teams: Jets, SF, KC, Chicago

Below average teams: Houston, Minn, Dal

Bad teams: Oakland

Ok so can't take Carolina at Baltimore. 8 teams left. Can't take Buffalo at Houston, if the teams are level I'm not going for a bad one to win on the road. 7 teams left. Miami have a slight edge in overall level and aren't even at a proper away game. But I can't trust them. 6 teams left.

From there I'm going for my now trusted theory (yet to actually work) of going with the best QB's. Apologies to Brady, Foles and Stafford who will now likely have 400 yard and 4 TD days. After all that I'm going

Atlanta

Green Bay

New Orleans

Holy crap Kaepernick is slippery. I reckon they don't even care if they let through the odd blitz... they're not gonna catch him anyway.

Just don't know what to make of Eagles. Getting killed by SF Defense. But are up 21-10 with 2 special teams TDs and a pick 6....

[censored] me this team dissapoints me more than melbourne

Vikes?

Oh Teddy I love you.

Oh Teddy I love you.

Gees he was good.. I'm not suprised he played well given the falcons record against rookie QBs, but taking nothing away from

Teddy he was awesome

Vikes?

Yeah you'd think with all the players the vikes had out the falcons would be able to get the job done. They can't play out of the dome for sh*t

Bridgewater and Ryan went toe to toe today. It was a fun game to watch. Both defenses struggled at times. I thought Atlanta might have attempted some deeper plays against a so so secondary. Bridgewater looks so calm under pressure. He doesn't over throw the ball and can scramble to keep plays alive. He had over 200 yards in the first half and a rushing TD. Most of the credit for the win goes to the O line that dominated Atlanta. Our back up RB's got a lot of yards.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
