We fought to the end. Good game, we have the building blocks to make another run at he playoffs next year. D should get better, Corrum might take over from Williams if he cant stop fumbling, I think a Inside linebacker for the run game, maybe a centre, Limmer did well but iirc its not his natural position.

O-line could use improvement but everyone's could. In inside LB like what Wagner was meant to be would be handy, a nice rookie would compliment guys like Verse.

More WR depth would be good too. This draft doesn't look super deep at receiver but you've proven you can get late steals.

Right now you'd be favourite to top the west again but we'll re-visit after free agency/draft.

Was bound to leave for a HC job.

I do worry about the Lions. As a team gets more expensive you either need an elite coach or an elite QB. I think Dan Campbell has done an amazing job and seems to be a great man manager but I do feel a lot of his success is down to his coordinators.

Jared Goff has had a great season and is definitely in the good QB category. I would not say elite though.

Will be interesting to see what off-season they have.

I still think their D when healthy will wreck face, and as the Rams did with Goff, run the ball (lions prob the best 1-2 punch at RB) and play action and also have the D get them the ball back often and in good spots.

Think back to 2017, Kupp and Gurley were both great for most of the year until injured and ultimately, Kupp missed the rest of the year and Gurley's knee was cooked. and we still were in the SB until the end due to the D holding the pats. I still believe that of Kupp and a Healthy Gurley play we win that SB comfortably.

Well I reckon Kupp is cut, has 29.8m hit and about to hit 32, I think they will try and retain Robinson and let Atwell walk.

Whittington who we got last year I think looks good, but they didnt give him much of a go other than when injuries occured, but he has speed and some size.

I think a vet ILB and a centre would be high on priority.

Also not 100% they bring back Stafford going my media talk, but that I think is just talk, I mean who do you replace him with?

No doubt, healthy D will be the barometer for them. I think it's a big time for Campbell though, great coaches have great coordinators leave for better jobs, can Dan work the magic?

I think if Kupp alone played they would have won it, you just can't put a price on those receivers who find that yard of space in big games.

Yeah the new OC will be interesting for the lions.

Rozeboom is a free agent as well I believe? Thought he had a good season and you'd want to get him signed.

I don't think you'd be doing better than Stafford under centre next season. Unless they fancy guys like Darnold, Fields or feel like making a play for Rodgers. Nup.

We've asked him to come back as DC.

Pack it in Robert, this HC game is tough.

Posting more than Fedex right now but just a reminder that the College Football National Championship is on today at 11:30am on ESPN between heavyweights Notre Dame and Ohio State.

The Buckeyes are favourites but I'm on the Irish today. Hopefully can sneak a glimpse at work.

We have about 14, some like Rozeboom will be interesting, he misses some easy tackles, then makes other plays, I think price will really matter there, or who else is available cheaper.

I dont like any of those names, tbh I think if McVay moves on from Stafford it will be for a Stroud type QB

Ha ha, I reckon he wants to stay a HC and shove it up the Jets.

Or Russell Wilson if you feel like completely overhauling your offense!

Out of all named I'd rather a rookie or re sign Jimmy G, not that I want him starting either.

But unless we trade up for a QB (hugely unlikely) I can't see us not going with Stafford.

I'd definitely stay with Stafford for now. You can do a hell of a lot worse.

I think McVay is itching to have a QB who can move.

Dual threat QBs are the hot topic.

I haven't paid much attention to the Class of College QBs this year, will have to get our heads around it as I would also like to draft someone to sit.

My mob have clearly decided that mobile QB is the way to go, benching Cousins & starting Penix Jnr with 3 week to go… I still can’t get my head around the Kirk experiment, the amount of money was absurd for a 36 year old coming off an Achilles. The cap hit (even though they say they’ll bring him back at a back up 😂) is going to restrict our roster for years to come, they need to beef up the Defense but will be hamstrung

Don't want to see a Chiefs 3peat but don't want to see the Bills win either, as a Jets fan they really [censored] me as a team every time we play them. So come on NFC, would prefer to see the Commanders win the SB but could handle Philly even though Sirianni seems like a [censored].

Ha ha, so commanders or a sour taste will be had 😄

Could handle Philly but KC or Bills 🤮

I think it's the Bills year though, Allen feels like he's gone to another level this year

I too think it's time for the Bills. Defense looks balanced, Allen on fire. I'm pulling for them.

Don't know if anyone caught the National Championship on Tuesday but unfortunately the Buckeyes were just a bit too strong for the Fighting Irish on the night.

I've always found Notre Dame to be similar to the Dees in the sense of being a sleeping giant so it would have been nice to see them break through. Haven't won it since the Lou Holtz days in the 80s.

The other annoying thing is seeing Mcguire jr's name plastered all over the news. I just don't have time for the way Aus covers the American Football!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
