Calling it now. 49ers Ravens Superbowl.

Unbelievable Ravens.

Haven't had a possession that wasn't a TD.

Well that was more painful than the 37-10 I predicted.

one QB is about to get 134m and the other is Jackson.

Goff didn’t throw a TD all November...

Ravens do look very good and if they can bridge the 1 game gap on the Pats they'll then have the tie-break advantage.  The Pats could easily win their last 5 games though with their only tough game being @ Houston next week.  They are at home against KC in week 14 but they'll probably win that one.  And home field throughout the playoffs for the Pats usually means another SB appearance.

Pats schedule ...

Ravens have to win-out the rest of the regular season Dappa to stand a chance for the 1 seed ... and that's do-able but they meet the 49ers next week (SB Preview?)  Ravens vs Pats instead of Pats vs Ravens is probably a 15-20 point swing. Ravens schedule ...

As for the Niners,  their schedule is tough but they are playing really well.  The Packers aren't that good but we were completely dismantled by San Francisco,  all the same.

San Francisco schedule ...

The Saints stand in the way of the Niners for the 1 seed and they meet in the New Orleans dome in week 14 (Dec 9th)  Saints schedule ...

There's a lot of big games coming up in fact ... as it normally is in December.

Packers,  Vikings,  KC & Seattle can all feature as well but all 4 teams probably need to win-out to have any chance of a bye during the playoffs

Anyone up for the power index as per rating the 12 top teams?  Or should we wait until after week 13?

Probably should wait but what the hell. Not sure about the Power Rankings concept so you can call these Biff rankings. Would have been quite different had I done them before the weekend

Ravens
Saints
Seahawks
49ers
Pats
Packers
Vikings
Chiefs
Bills
Cowboys
Titans
Texans

2 points on offer this week as we approach the last quarter of the season.  And there are a number of road teams that are in with a chance.  Good luck!

Leaderboard in the Tipping Comp

10 - JV7,  Go the Biff

9 - Dee Zephyr,  Gorgoroth

7 - Dappa Dan,  Layzie,  Macca

6 - Clintosaurus

4 - DeeSpencer

Pretty good wrap up. I'd say the Ravens right now are just about matchup-proof. The way they execute the running game (RB1 and QB will both go over 1000 yards)…. I'd take them in any matchup anywhere. That said, all it takes is to stymie that run game (Pats run D maybe?) and they come back to the pack a bit. That or Mahomes really gets going in a shootout. I reckon as of this last weekend the serious teams have separated themselves.

A+

1. Baltimore. Can't put anyone over them at the moment. Not after a couple of days ago.

2. San Francisco. Got it everywhere. Still think Jackson > Garroppolo, so have to have them second. Last weekend they went another step I reckon... they are so legit.

3. New England. They've done too much not to be considered in the serious teams. Brady's recent dropoff be damned. It'll probably take about a quarter for Belli to fix that and they're right back to looking impossible to beat again.

A

4. New Orleans. Probably more a reflection on how good the above 3 teams have been, less about how bad the Saints have been.

5. Kansas City. Mahomes back and firing, can beat anyone. Defense good but not great has them out of the top tier.

6. Packers. I just dunno about what Rodgers is doing right now. Feast one week, famine the next. Seems mortal. Defense that started the year great have dropped a touch too. Their record will see them threaten.

7. Seattle. Love what they're doing across the board. A sleeper.

A-

8. Vikings. Very even team. Cousins earning his money. I just don't think they'll pip the big boys in the NFC. Anything can happen though I guess.

B+

9. Buffalo. Mostly a good defensive team but will get rolled in playoffs. Too many gaps in the roster.

10. Colts. I have them as a wild card, but oddly higher up than the Texans. Probably because I'm a Reich fan, and love their story this year. They should be proud to make it to post season. Would be stunned if they beat any of the Vikings, Chiefs, Pats or Ravs tho.

11. Texans. I probably should respect them more. But injuries here and there and some strangely average games by Watson has me doubting their deep season chances. Love the offense, but don't think it'll hold up. AFC South a bit like NFC East. Fun to watch who wins the division, but they're making up the numbers in post season.

C-

12. Eagles. The Cowboys have a better list but Garret is on the way out. I reckon they lose to Bills and potentially Bears or Rams (or both) and Eagles in Philly when they get their best guys back, like Brooks, Johnson, Jeffrey, Howard. Cowboys still haven't got a win against a team with a winning record.  Eagles are only here because of the vagaries of how the conferences work. Couldn't possibly win a playoff, and are nowhere near the 49ers, Saints, Seattle or even the Pack.

Decided to go back and look at my rankings from a month or two ago and see how close I got it. Same list of teams aside from Cowboys in and Buffalo out. Not too bad.

Saints packers Rams.

Would have gone eagles over Rams but wanted to be a little different just in case...

Saints, Packers, Eagles.

Impressed by Bills today. Postseason will happen for them and they've earned it. Allen can play.

Agree Dappa, they looked good and Allen showed some great throws on the move and in the pocket was laser like.

Pats  Rams  Packers

Here's a few previews of the bigger match-ups

There aren't many easy games Dappa even though we see a bundle of blow-outs from time to time.

Any road game can throw up skewed outcomes which are hard to predict.  Cowboys losing on Friday keeps your division interesting.

9 wins will almost certainly get it done in the NFC East considering the Eagles are hosting Dallas in a few weeks.  That match probably decides things as does the Vikings/Packers match up in a few weeks.  Both games to be played in week 16.

I absolutely don't want to make playoffs. No way either team wins a game... So rather get the picks.

Chargers again find a new way to lose.

Maybe but whichever team wins the NFC East gets home field advantage in week 1.

I recall a number of years ago when the 7 & 9 Seahawks won the NFC West and then defeated the Wild-card Saints who's record was 11 & 5.

So anything can happen and you just need to qualify.  Eagles are by no means out of it yet.  You'll need to win-out but that's do-able with your remaining schedule

I think what I mean is there's no way they beat 49ers, Vikings, Pack or Seattle. So what's the point. I realise winning your division is a feather in a team's cap, but this team is broken down and old. It needs a refurb.

They just got beaten by Miami. MIAMI. At least the boys lost to an 8-3 team.

Bring back Foles?

Just joking!

Whichever team wins your division will probably end up playing a lot better by the end of December than either team is playing now.  So there's a bit of hope with 1 home final.

But a trip to the Dome,  Vikings,  Lambeau,  Seattle or San Francisco will happen in week 2 and that'll be tough.

And the AFC is hotting up with the Texans playing well along with the Pats faltering again.   Scoreboard flattered New England today but I'm still not prepared to put a line through them ... in fact,  they'll probably rally as they always do.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
