Gees Atlanta suck Gorg... I'm starting to enjoy watching other games more than just focusing on my team. Season is completely gone & we are battling it out with Miami as the worst side in the league. There's too much talent on the roster for Quinn not to be fired, he assumed DC duties and the D has gone backwards. He is a dead man walking.

Also the Bengals are 0-7

Rams are funny, I don’t rate us as much this year, but for a missed FG to beat the Seahawks we would be 5-2, but are 4-3 with bengals and Steelers next up. Win those and we play Bear at 6-3. I still think our Div will be won by Seattle or Niners but gotta home for a wildcard and who knows from there, we are decent on the road.

I listened in to half time but the game was effectively over after the first 5 minutes.  Costly errors allowed Dallas to score 2 x TD's without much trouble

But you have those days ... you're at the Bills next and then 3 tough games at home (Bears,  Pats,  Seahawks)  Need to win at least 2 and probably 3 of those 4 games.

Yup. Comes down to getting through to week 10 or so at .500... schedule gets super soft after that.

Eagles in real trouble now. Injuries too much, and going forward the list is in a fair bit of strife.

My God they were absolute pus yesterday. Defence looked like they had never played before.

That's an insult to pus.

They should have been ashamed. O line was a joke too. Lots of injuries not an excuse either.

Extremely tough tipping week...

Wow, the Browns stunk it up like only the Browns could. 3 consecutive plays, 3 turnovers.

Packers/Chiefs game was a belter. Rodgers is just immense and Moore was fantastic. Great see-sawing affair.

Really exciting game via audio only but I watched the highlights and it looked like a ripper game to watch

Rodgers was just incredible but Jones was terrific.  And the D did their bit.  As you said,  Moore played very well

The KC fumble decided the game though.  You can't give Rodgers chances like that.

Here is a 100 minute highlights package of today's games ... the audio is a bit dodgy but I believe all the games are covered

2 big points on offer this week in the comp with at least 4 road favourites.  But is one of those games a trap game?  We'll find out soon enough as one of those games is being played on Friday.  Surely the 49ers win ... surely!

SNF looks the game of the round although MNF might spring a surprise whilst Friday's game might be closer than imagined.  Maybe.

I still can't get behind the 49ers as the best in NFC. But they could easily prove me wrong. Love what they're doing all over the ground.

Otherwise I like most of that list... Though it's interesting you have no NFC East in there. I still have my Eagles in the top 12. If not for the debacle against the Cowboys we'd be rated much higher by all and sundry.

1 - Patriots. Historically good.

2 - Saints. TBH would have put the Packers here, but no Brees and Kamara and still able to do what they've done. They deserve it.

3 - Packers. Have both Jones and Rodgers in fantasy, so watching them closely. They're the real deal again. And defense is pretty good too. Would love to see them against Pats in Superbowl.

4 - 49ers. A bit of the Falcons from a few years ago about them. Not sure I can trust. Jimmy G has been good, but he's the sore thumb compared to the other QBs in this list.

5 - Chiefs. I still believe. Mahomes back makes them scary again. As well as some players back from injury.

6 - Seahawks. Good across the board.

7 - Cowboys. I don't understand how they managed to lose 3 in a row. Stars everywhere and a defense that's stacked with talent. Should be higher up, but have to do it again in a toughish schedule.

8 - Vikings. Cousins getting going has me interested again. Just don't trust him against the big boys in prime time yet.

9 - Texans. Might be a bit high. I just love Watson. JJ's injury might hurt them down the stretch though.

10 - Ravens. Jackson is a threat for MVP... I just don't love these running QBs. Ahead of the Eagles here because their defense is better.

11 - Eagles. Call me a homer, but I still have them as a playoff team. With that secondary you can't have them higher than this, but there's players coming back. And the rest of the defense, and the team, as well as QB are air tight. Have to beat Bears and one of Seahawks and Patriots... then their schedule opens up. Having said that, they're at best just making up the numbers in playoffs.

12 - Colts. Impressed as heck with what they've done.

Have ended up with one too many NFC teams. So I guess it's down to Vikings and Eagles for that 6th spot. Gulp. Bills to sneak in to playoffs.

Interesting Macca. Niners will get to play offs on the back of their D, but now with. sanders they have a genuine threat out wide.

Still think Seahawks are the better team, niners have to play cards x 2, Seahawks, Rams, Saints, Packers, Ravens, Falcons so it’s not easy, but in saying that the Rams and Seahawks have similar teams but slightly easier. The interesting bit is the three week run of a packers, Ravens, saints that will test them.

Tough week again even the favoured away sides I’m not overly sold on (might be a week to take some of the home teams at odds in a multi).

49ers

Packers

Cowboys

49ers

Packers

Cowboys

I think it's the first time I haven't tipped the Pats but it seems their offence is going backwards & is a chance to be exposed

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
