Although Watson's rushing TD was quite impressive though.   Don't know much about him but he looks like he can at least run well with the ball.

That was a good play. One of a very few that happened all game long.

Yep.

Looking ahead, Houston might win their division if Watson is decent.  They'd have a chance regardless as the AFC South is wide open.

The D of both teams was very good. If the Texans get their players back their O might be decent enough.

Yep ... and such is the nature of divisional football, a team can win a division, get hot at the business end and win the whole thing.

We've seen it happen with the Steelers,  Giants,  Packers and 1 or 2 others.

For that reason alone, the sport is fascinating.  It's like following 8 different leagues within the 1 big league.  It's a great system.

I feel like everyone will pick very similarly this week. I'll take Pats, Cards and Titans.

Same as last week, I'm always looking at a point of difference, hence I liked th Vikes this week.

WOO HOO! My first points of the year thanks to Arizona being marginally less terrible than Indi.

Meanwhile. KC. Damn fine football team.

Ha ha ... even McCarthy is giving penalties away.

Who we got next week?

Ah damn, I've forgotten to do this tipping thing for the first two weeks. Rookie move!

Not to worry ... there are still a couple of others who haven't got off the mark.

Why do we not have a fantasy comp for players on here?

We could do it Dappa ... maybe a designed system where we don't have to ever come back here and adjust our line-ups.  Just pick our players, lock 'em in and see how it pans out.

Here's a idea that I thought up ... we all pick 2 x QB's,  2 x WR's,  2 x RB's,  2 x Kickers,  2 x TE's & 2 x Defensive players.  Bur then, we only count the fantasy score of 1 of each pair of players.  This allows for injuries and such-like.

Others might have better ideas but the above idea could take less than an hour for participants and that's the extent of the time needed.

The time consuming bit would be for whoever runs it

A few observations ...

  • Atlanta have bounced back and they're the team to beat in the NFC ... however,  the Panthers might push the Falcons especially if they at least split their 2 games against Atlanta.
  • Order is restored with the Pats doing it easy in the big easy
  • The AFC West division could turn out to be a real battle - KC,  Denver & Oakland all look the goods whilst the Chargers can play spoiler.  Carr looks terrific and Reid's teams always compete well
  • Baltimore could push the Steelers all the way in the AFC North.  They look solid,  Pittsburgh the same
  • Jay Cutler gets a win for Miami - whooda-thunkit?
  • The Rams drop a game they could easily have won ... the NFC West could be a tight division with Seattle not looking all that impressive either.
  • Packers outplayed but again,  the Falcons came out firing and full credit to them.  The scoreboard flattered Green Bay in all honesty.
  • The Cowboys came down to earth with a thud although playing in Denver is nearly always tough.  Siemian continues to impress for the Broncos.
  • For divisional purposes,  I'm hoping that Eli & the Giants can get it done tomorrow.

Rams D was horrible against the run again, Wade will rectify this over the coming weeks I'm sure but we got smashed early.

I honestly think Goff is starting to look like a decent pick as QB. Kupp looks like a great pick as a WR, Gurley was back in form. After watching decent chunks of the game I think with another 10 odd games together we probably win that game. I think the changers. 4-3 to 3-4 is leaving bigger gaps we are not use to but will tighten up.

Got the niners on Friday. Looking forward to a full game.

Falcons looked good, but I'll disagree Macca, I don't think the panthers will be a serious threat after what I've seen.

Seattle and cards look very average and Inthink our div is very very open.

Raiders look bloody solid.

Broncos also look like a team to beat. Dismissed the Cowboys at times.

shattered that Bradford missed the Vile's game, wouldn't have tipped them.

Yeah Gorgo ... the Panthers have got a tough road schedule.  You're probably right.

Tampa might be decent though ... they're getting talked up.

Buccs looked great. I've always had a soft spot for them.

Love how Beckham wants to be the highest paid player in the NFL. I wouldn't even have him the highest paid WR. Giants looked very poor on offence today, their D was solid enough especially without Jenkins.

Losing your two starting tackles was always going to make life tough for Rodgers wasn't it.... Having said that he gave up 14 points with unlike Rodgers plays, that interception he threw right on the half and the forced fumble (which was line ball) whether those mistakes were due to the pressure he felt with the makeshift O-Line or not.. I'm okay with how we are looking, I honestly find myself in some sort of feeling nothing, is this what it's like to following a side when winning more games then not ? Or I just may be been reserved after what happened last season...

Falcons were always going to be a weird one really season as no one knew how badly the loss last year scared them. Panthers wwent to a heap after their loss.

The Panthers are a weird one. I wasn't that impressed with them in week 1. They may well have the most fierce defense around though and Luke Kuechly is back to his old self.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
