The end of this Seattle Cardinals game is absolutely unbelievable... This game continues to amaze me

Vikes O line upgraded to pitiful today. Overall the game was awful. In 5 consecutive possessions between the 2 teams there were 5 turnovers. That bye hurt us a little bit I think.

Detroit find a way and are quietly coming. What's with the Hawks Cards game? A 6 all tie? I heard that there is a saying in the league that there are 3 good kickers 3 bad Kickers and the rest are average.

I believe Washington are the 'road' team for their game against Cincinnati in London ... 1 point only on offer this week.

I've avoided commenting for a few days, but seriously... Who throws into 3 man coverage to their shortest receiver???? And then in to double coverage just to continue good form until throwing it into the end zone where there was only giants players...

I think I'm going to go back to supporting the St. Louis Rams and watch their games...

Interesting week of tipping...

Have a feeling the Bills could get the Pats at home, same as the Browns (surely their due) against the Jets. Carloina -2.5 favour at home against the Cards ? I know Arizona haven't been setting the world on fire but the Panther are 1-5

Fisher is 5 losses away from holding the record for most losses ever by an NFL coach.

Yup. A shoe in for getting it this year unless they sack him.

Erghhhhh what a terrible game. But with those helmets I expect nothing but.  They must be embarrassed to be seen in them.

Keep forgetting to do my tips the last few weeks. Not a great season as a bears fan. They've stripped the roster to build through the draft with a defensive focus and almost every starter on the defense has been injured and half the offense has too. A total mess. The one highlight was the Hoyer looked was doing a fantastic job keeping the Bears in games without winning to facilitate a nice tank job and now he's injured, Cutler comes back to try and save his job and the Bears might just be dumb enough to keep him.

@Macca a shootout in Atlanta... I thought both our defenses were very ordinary, was one of those games whoevers offense got the ball last wins, albeit Green Bay had a chance but only with 31 seconds.

With a likely Vikings win tomorrow both Minnesota & Dallas are creating real separation from the other teams in their respective divisions ... Atlanta are 2 games clear in the NFC South whilst the NFC West is up for grabs.

9 wins might get a wild-card in the NFC so there's hope for any number of teams - outside of the clear-cut division leaders, there are no fewer than 10 teams sitting on 3 or 4 wins in the NFC.

Over in the AFC the Pats keep marching on whilst 3 teams from the AFC West are in a position to reach the playoffs (Broncos, KC, Raiders)  Pittsburgh needs Roethlisberger back asap whilst Houston could be good enough to win the AFC South.  But who knows?

There's been a lot of close games - and that will almost certainly continue.

Edit: And true to form my predicted win for the Vikes falls flat.  The NFC North is now up for grabs as well.  The Bears & Cutler were very good today.

Vikes were putrid and Chicago were pretty solid. Our line will stop the vikes from challenging this year. Bradford keeps getting hit and I think there is enough film for teams to diagnose the strong defense we have. As @Macca said a win today wouldve given us some separation in the division and the NFC. We got Detroit next and they are looking real good.

Good to see the cards ran the Panthers into form for our game this week.

Get on the Panthers for a away win this week!

2 points up for grabs this week ... good luck.

Surely one of us has to get 3 right... no one has scored since round 1 I think...

Atlanta (not confident, TB & Winiston have the wood over us winning the last 3)

Wow. Did not know that. TB are funny, in patches they look great then really poor.

Falcons, Cowboys, Saints. Denver is a brave pick.

Detroit

Tipping against the vikes. Our offensive coordinator just quit. Seems we are trying to make it hard on ourselves.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
