I have seen nothing about the whereabouts of MacDonald & McNamara last weekend. They didn't play with Casey, even though I think both were in Casey's best players the previous week. And, neither have been on the Club's official injury list.

Does anyone know what the story is with these two?

Joel Mac was one of the best for Casey the week before so he may have been given the week off, and i'm suspecting he could be recalled for the game against Adelaide.

As for Tommy Mac - i'm as puzzled as you.

Would be thinking its just a standard rest, in line with the AFL guys. That said don't Casey have a bye this week so I'm surprised both of them weren't playing last week in order to push their chances of getting into the senior team.

But then if selected against Adelaide they get no rest!

Have no idea what the rules are in this area does any one know?

Joel Mac is named first on the bench, always a good pointer to confirm he is likely to play and seems to make sense they pulled him out of the Willy game on a heavy ground that would drain him a bit?

Could also be the quota rule at Casey? They bought in Fitzpatrick and Jurrah but not sure if two MFC listed boys had to make way and not sure why Tom would be one to have made way. Joel Mac makes a bit more sense.
