I wonder if anyone remembers Danny Seow, he played 25 games of elite football (18 Collingwood & 7 Melbourne) between 1986 and 1990. He is currently sharing his thoughts excusively with TheBigTip.

I reckon this article is a must read for any melbourne supporter, you will appreciate it alot - It's a Grand Old Flag

Melbourne FC may be coming of age once more! I played with Collingwood and was also fortunate enough to play with one of their oldest rivals in Melbourne.
Also, much to the credit of the Melbourne team, they persisted without dropping their heads or conviction of their game plan converting with minimal opportunities presented.

How time flies .... it doesn't seem that long ago that Danny played his few games for the Dees.

I like, and agree with the general sentiment expressed in the article, but I don't entirely agree with the list of players mentioned as forming the nucleus from which our team will develop.

I remember his debut game for the Demons in 1990. We were 3rd on the ladder and managed to get beaten by North by 20 goals with Longmire kicking 14.

wow you guys have a great memory, longmire kicking 14 ha. the good old days of fullforwards kicking bags of goals.

is that really true?

Is that the year we were travelling very well and then had successive huge thrashings starting with a big hiding from Geelong?

I just can't recall Longmire kicking 14 against us, though I'm old enough to remember Kevin Murray taking 30 plus marks against us at the Brunswick St Oval in about 1957 [they didn't keep stats then but he must have taken 30 at least]
