In other words, you don't have any evidence.

No Nasher.

I have enough to form my own opinion, read the post. This issue is so ridiculously emotive that it makes many intelligent posters on here blinded.

Melbourne is a very small place. I doubt that young Jack could hide anything for long.

"Bennies" were a nick name for a stimulant known as Benzadrine and "Bennythejet" might be under the influence of a stimulated imagination.

Hahaha, I'll pay that

Here's an idea. Let's rehash this topic at about this time tomorrow, when we have seen JW's efforts and all important 'attitude' out on the MCG tomorrow? Makes sense to me!

Agreed.

Also, this would have to be the worst thread title ever.

I suggest "Watts his attitude like"

Or just delete this 2 page dribble. Its the same as what went on the last thread. No need to start a fresh thread for this rumour file

Please someone direct me to the bits where Melbourne Supporters are willing Jack to fail?

Can I paraphrase th thoughts of all Melbourne people by saying.

May Jack Watts become a champion of the Melbourne Football Club, May he be our greatest goal-kicker and forward and a multiple premiership player.

No-one here on demonland wishes any different.

Will be happy to settle for "Multiple Premiership Player"!!!

Cmon Dees...big win against the toasters tomorrow.

I don't see anything wrong with Watts getting drunk every now n then. He's 19 years old. What kind of teenager would he be if he wouldn't occasionally go out n have drinks with mates. Not everyone is like Scully who has been training like a professional since 14 years old.

The extreme end of the spectrum is Colin Sylvia, who was well-known for having large amounts of coke/booze regularly on weekends throughout his first couple of seasons. And even in that extreme case, he has now managed to sort himself out and is playing good footy and turned his life around. Watts is no way like Colin was. To me he appears to be a really mature young guy who knows he's bloody talented and is coming to terms with being a household name at the age of 19!

I honestly don't know what Watts does on his nights off, and honestly i'm not too worried about it. He's not missing training sessions, he's playing good footy at Casey (now hopefully translate that to AFL level). People should just relax n let him show us what he can do

Can anyone tell me why Sam Blease is not playing at Casey one's or two's this week?

Rarely do I feel inclined to make comment on a topic on Demonland. As I have said many times, I enjoy Demonland and Demonology and encourage our staff to read the forums.

I must say in this case, some of the comments are disappointing and well off-beam.

We make a point of not being defensive in our attitude towards opinions on the merits of our performance, but I will also make a point of defending good young men who are committed to your football club.

I have great confidence in our players, as well as the coaches and administrators who are guiding their careers.

Well Said Cam. It's about time a few on here just took a deep breath & stopped B S about a topic they know nothing about.

It's the kind of stuff the HUN & collingwood supporters do well. I hope we are above that level.

Let's all give Jack the same cheers we gave Danny Hughes Last Week.

WTF would anyone on here know about JW's attitude anyway?

This crap has been going on for months & i have had enough...You wanna burn the kid out before he starts?...Well i Don't B)

Looking forward to BTB tomorrow.

Good work, sir. I have the utmost faith that the MFC has done a great job weeding out or sorting out the "non-hackers" and the playing group we have is moving forward as one. I have no doubt that if there was any truth to the rumours he would not be considered for senior selection until the issue was sorted.

As for the posters I think it is just a case of people getting a bit excited about young Jack and then latching on to rumours in the absence of other news. I'm sure it will calm down pretty soon.

Poor guy has got so many doubters out there if i was in the same position i'd of

pulled all my hair out about now. Cant wait till we talk about his footy rather than trivial hearsay nonsense.

Cam if your still here how far away realistically is Blease from a senior debut 6 months or more.

I know we need to be conservative due to his injury but he was so exciting when playing for Metro.

Remember thinking this guy has got speed to burn.

Sam Blease will be brought along slowly. We have a high regard as everyone knows, but he is coming back from a serious injury.

Getting a few sore spots, which is not unusual given the nature of his injury. Having a rest this week.

Still very young and will be given plenty of time.

Good group of young players who came through the Vic Metro system together including Watts, Scully, Strauss, Fitzpatrick, Blease and Gawn.

Cheers for the response Cam

Congratulations on the access you've been giving the average folk with Whiteboard Wednesday

great insight into the inner sanctum/processes. Here's to continued success of the MFC

Now let's turn the MCG into a cauldron of demons and smash the eagles

Don't rush him Cam, i spoke to Nathan Brown (Richmond) last week-Good Bloke, he still gets a bit of pain in his leg, so he will probably have to always manage it.

As he was still young and growing it should not effect his Pace or performance. Just a little more mental toughness to forget any aches he has.

One more Cam cause I cant help myself

Ricky Petterd: how far off are we from dispelling all these rumours that the Gold Coast has him in their sights and he may be going?

Love the way he goes about his footy give him all our best he is a livewire.

What a lot of comments about nothing. This is non-story, non-event, non-sense. It's bumf.

Watts' delayed selection has created a vacuum in the football gossip world; something had to fill it.

I am very excited about seeing Jack back in the team. I for one do not care whether NikNat gets more possessions than Jack etc.....He does not play for the MFC. In my opinion we required a key fwd of Jack's ability more than a ruck style of NikNat, therefore end of story comparisons. Really the comparisons are just becoming very silly

I am very happy with how Jack is progressing and I am glad MFC picked him as our 2008 #1

Wishing Jack all the best in his first game for MFC in 2010. I know he will do all that is required of him

Go Jack and Go Dees

Sorry if I'm setting the bar to high but what's required of him is to take part in 3-5 winning premierships over his career, a couple of Coleman Medals, a Brownlow or 2, a Keith Truscott Medal, a Norm Smith Medal and also a stable relationship with a beautiful and intelligent women. He won't be able to achieve this tomorrow which is unfortunate.

Thanks for this Cam - it's great to know that the footy dept read thsese forums!! (including all the drunken rants from myself occasionally). can i just say that any Watts knockers are fools - how can you judge an 18 yr old!! Let's support the young man and watch the magic unfold - ala jurrah/scully/grimes/trengove!
