I was at Casey on the weekend and was surprised at the aggression that Woonaeamirri showed towards the opposition. He attempted to shirtfront Coburg players on at least 3 occasions. He is quite dangerous in this situation because he is very solidly built in the upper body and shoulders and not being tall can get you under the chin. I dont remember him being this aggressive when he made his debut in 2008. Perhaps the long run of injuries has frustrated him a little. He might be another Pickett. Perhaps a good thing - make the opposition players a bit wary. Theres not a lot of mongrel in most of our other players.

I was there and totally disagree....think you are reading a bit too much into some basic aggression. He isn't an aggressive player and to start a thread based on a few bits of play in ONE match is over the top

Was overly happy he got through uninjured however

I thought his effort was top shelf on saturday. I will agree that he put the body in as opposition were trying to work the ball out of D, but i didnt see him shirtfront anyone or put in anything that could be called a cheap shot.

I think Wonna is doing the right thing and trying to show his endeavour and working overtime to get back in the side....which is fantastic.

He isnt as fast as Davey but he will keep them thinking if he is going to make that sort of solid bump every time. Great stuff I say. Nothing there that would warrant attention by umpires or review unless he started going late.....which he wasnt doing.
