(via Twitter) DemonsHQ: The second runner up for the best and fairest goes to Brent Moloney, well done on a fantastic season in 2009

And well done to Aaron Davey for taking out the B&F for 2009. Well deserved.

(Thank god we signed him, imagine the embarrassment! :o)

That means Davey for B&F.

Congrats

(via Twitter) DemonsHQ: And the winner is Aaron Davey!

Have to say, I am so happy Aaron got up. I really think he absolutely bleeds for the club. Is a true mentor, and it obviously HUGELY respected by the playing group.

Fantastic effort from Brent Moloney as well. Congrats to all award recipients.

Well Done Matty "RANGA" Bate on 4th, a tad higher then i thought he would get, in saying that he had a pretty consistent year.

Thought chip had a better year than cam but congrats to all the boys!

Well done Aaron worked really hard in the pre-season and earnt his just reward.

Such a great role model for the club and players to have around.

An inspiration for many look forward to watching his silky skills throughout the next years to come

Well done also to Moloney, Bruce, Bate and co

all had consistently good years and deserve their placings in the B&F. Hopefully they maintain and

Improve upon their great year.

Time to look forward to the future and get this rebuild on the way lets start celebrating some wins

and singing the song with gusto.

Congratulations to Aaron, had a stellar year, only player to play all 22 for the dees. Certainly future captain material.

Nice to see the little things like the night being sold out, passing 10,000 members, and our best player also being our best clubman while the second best is borderline manic about the jumper.

This direction is a good direction.

(via Twitter) DemonsHQ. Jurrah wins the Harold Ball best first year player, Robbo presents him with the jumper number 24 to wear in 2010 and beyond.

:(

Well done Flash, thoroughly deserved it.

Just got a text from a mate who was there apparently Brent Moloney acceptance speech: "there are great things happening and if you don't want to be here on this line then you can fack off to Carlton!"

Matthew Bate is severly underated by some on this forum.

Is that his 2nd or 3rd top5 finish in our B&F?!

He is a very good forward prospect and I see him playing CHF in years to come, playing up the ground and then moving close to goal kickign 3 goals.

Gary Lyon was quoted this season for saying that Bate would be considered in the top 30 players in the afl if he played for Geelong. I tend to agree.

Well done Flash. Terrific year, well deserved.

He and Brock are very good mates, so I find that a little hard to believe.

Although he is one passionate guy. Love watching his head nearly explode everytime he sings the club song!

Like I said it was a text but I believe it is true. Beamer is very passionate wouldn't surprise me if he was very [censored] off at Brock for leaving...

No worries Dave

What i find ironic is Shane Valenti got 2 awards

Obviously Brock will get #11 at the Blues

Good result all round

Is this guy an inspiration or what.

See Jimmy's address to the Best & Fairest night:

Jim Stynes at MFC Best & Fairest

He really is my hero.

Gippy

I know. I feel exceptionally lucky just to have met him.

That speech was something else. A true hero.

Adam Yze will be up there as always, a terrific night

What about Adem Yze? Did I miss something in this thread?

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
