Yeah, you're right, but he seems to read the play fairly well and use the ball pretty well too.

I guess we have enough of his type anyway though.

We got rid of our "one paced" (slow) player for pick 11. I couldn't see us getting another one?!

Scully and JT are a lock at Pick 1 and 2.

Pick 11 and 18 are used for a forward like Black, Griffiths, maybe the Butch, Carlilse, Panos or even Talia who I believe is the next Michael Hurley (without bashing cabbies). Lucas or Jetta could slip through to us at pick 11 so long as we get a KPP at 18. If no for Jetta or Lucas, a ruckman like Vardy at 18 would be an extremely good pick-up.

Luke Ball if selected in PSD#1 I reckon he potentially will captain Melbourne in 2011. Good leader, former All-Australian, captain and B&F winner. Also it could be a bit to soon for JT, Grimes, Morts, Scully, etc. Others for this position could be Moloney, Jones or Davey.

Talia is not in Hurley's league.

And if you thought that he was that good why would you say "or even Talia" and list him last ?

He will be in the same 'League' soon but isn't half the player that Hurley is..... no shame in that, Hurley is set for a massive career.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
