I would prefer Morabito's X factor.

Though after seeing Temel live yesterday, i think he could be a real chance for pick number 2.

He is seriously good and much better than Butcher IMO.

He is a lot more mobile than i had thought from the reports that i have read.

Says someone that has no doubt never seen Morabito play. Morabito isn't a risk. At worst he will be a very very good AFL player and at best a star.

I probably just lean to Trengove, but would be happy with either. As it's a toss of the coin for me I'd take the SA lad, as I believe there's slightly less 'go home' factor - despite Scott Thompson. Trengove has better foot skills whilst Morabito has explosive pace and power. Morabito is also very good with his hands at clearances.

That said, I voted Scully and Morabito.

Mind you, I read an article about Morabito yesterday about how he moved out of home last year to live by himself so he was closer for footy.

Seems an independent young man already who is not too caught up in wanting to stay in his homestate.

I have nothing to add (as I have seen little of any of these kids) other than I don't want another Molan situation. Just take the best player available and develop Jurrah, Bate, and Watts. And teach Martin how to kick.

If we can't develop them into players who can kick 50 goals a season with good service then what are we doing here?

And Bate kicked 27 goals and had 25 assists with awful delivery and scarce service. He will get worse as we get better?

History shows you need a quality midfield to win a flag. All those forwards you mention were serviced by a quality midfield. We have Watts and I think we need to find a servicable KPF who can play a role rather than a superstar. If 2 of Scully, Trengove, Morton, Grimes or Blease can become elite mids we will be very competitive for the next 10-12 years.

Despite what people think elite mids don't grow on trees. We haven't had one for 20+ years. Trengove is my second chioce atm because he is a goalkicker and we desperately need to find more goals from our mids.

Who cares abut his (suspect) attitiude? For pick 2 I want a forward that can kick like Jack Watts or better.

Not like Juice Newton.

I was all for picking a mid than tall forward, that was from the little information that I had about the depth of Key forward s in the draft. Over the past few weeks there seems to be a few tall forwards that sound like they can play and I'm confident we can pick one up with pick 18, so my opinion has changed to Scully and Trengove.

With the key forward issue, it adds another string to morabito's bow. He has been labeled as a player who could develop into a pavlich/goodes. As a midfielder, he also adds to our team, because he is a big body around the contest and is someone that can break the lines, and with the amount of zoning in today's game, you need a player who will break up opposition zones.

I can see Bate, morton, jurrah, watts and potentially morabito all rotating between our forward/midfield, which could create a very dangerous mix for opposition in the future.

But the club should pick who they believe is best available.
