A five goal third had us right in it at 3 quarter time. In fact we were right in it till the 10 minute mark of the last. Hardly a walloping

Lost by 41 points.

I'd call that a walloping!

Sydney will have a bit of support in Canberra. They also have alot to play for. Stranded on 6 wins, yet 2 games from eighth with 6 games remaining. I don't think they will have put the cue in the rack at all.

They will miss Ted Richards.

Don't know but as soon as they touch down the average IQ of the place will increase considerably.

I doubt a bunch of footballers could increase the IQ of anything.

  • GAMEDAY: Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
