Well, that article agrees with my theory you won't be seeing much of him in Red and Blue til '11 or '12, particularly as he's completing Year 12 next year.

Your theory was that Belase will spend the majority of the year with Casey's 2nds and that article says nothing of the sort.

I think your theory is right.

And realistically he's only played something like 7 TAC Cup games in his life and a few National Championships games, most of 2008 for him was playing school footy. Unlike kids who come from the bush or interstate, I doubt he's ever played against men. He'll need time to grow physically and mature mentally.

tbh I wouldn't expect to see Blease consistently wearing Dee's colours til he's 22 or thereabouts.

His body is a long long way off atm.

Negatory (though I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case)

Nowhere. But if he's playing school footy/ completing school do you really think they'll play him for his first game round 9 in the 1s? (just chucking out a random example)

I think he's too talented for Casey's 2nds.

I tend to agree. Schooling will come first ala maric and most likely watts. When they are assessed to be up to the desired level both on and off the field i think they will play snrs certainly at casey and even straight in the red+blue. If he does play keep him out on a wing or HFF and make sure he is looked after by the other players. Mclean, booma, PJ etc will be critical to make sure he has the space he is needed and if anyone touches him let em know about it same goes for watts! protect them, they will be targeted.

Don't be suprised if either watts or blease have a run in the NAB comp(s) and then we don't see them until after the mid season break (or one or two games early to get a taste then a rest)...... DONT BURN THEM OUT, I feel there is more on these kids shoulders then in 20yrs of recruits! The most I can see happening is maybe watts to play 3 have a few off, play a couple, have a couple off etc like fletcher did in his first year.

Slow and steady will win the race here.

They're the reasons I wouldn't be surprised if Blease spend some time in Casey's 2s lol/

And Jarka, there's no doubt the talent is there, but Damian Cupido had twice the talent and didn't make it - it's as much about management (by the club) and application (from the player)

The reference to Cupido is irrelevant, his problems had nothing to do with his weight and everything to do with his attitude.

Perhaps a combination of both...which would probably come down to his attitude, concentration, application & dedication to his club.

You're right, let me restate my comment, however the weight issues were one of being over weight, not under.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
